Adding: Meteor shower cyphastrea Frag A: $40 Meteor shower cyphastrea Frag B: $40 Unknown acro with reddish polyps. I got it as a completely brown, dying piece but it has been slowly growing over the dead skeleton (see below picture). Idk how will it eventually turn out so it will be a gamble to buy these pieces. Thanks! Those two are among my favourite too (: Thanks! (:
  4. If your dechlorinator is sodium thiosulphate based (which most of them are in the first place), then it shouldn't take more than 5 mins to dechlorinate. But if the dechlorinator contains only sodium thiosulphate and nothing else, this would only remove the chlorine part in the chloramines and ammonia will be left behind. More time is then required to remove the ammonia. So really, depends on the type of dechlorinator you're using. However, since you said you're using kent marine's detox, I would be inclined to think that 12 hours is more than enough to remove both chlorine and chloramines. Not sure what any additional time is supposed to do.
  5. Suppose you change 50% of your water at once, this would mean (theoretically) that you're removing 50% of nitrates. On the contrary, if you change 25% first, this would mean that you're removing 25% of nitrates (so 75% of the original level of nitrates is left). Then you'll have to top up with new salt water. Thereafter, removing 25% again on another day would mean that you're removing (in theory) 25% of the 75% of the original level of nitrates, about 18.75% of the original level of nitrates. So in total, you'll only be removing 25% + 18.75% of the nitrates instead.
  6. I'm not certain what exactly that anemone is but coral farm has lot of them. They call them sand anemones or something along those lines. Can't remember precisely what already.
