  2. it really depends on the skimmer you are using.....if ventri based or Beckett type you can't....if those skimmer with a seperate feed pump (like some needle wheel) or air stone, you might be able to......bear in mind that the water pass through coil within the chiller thus you will have some head loss.....

your picture also got some problem.....if not set up correctly, when there is a power failure, water might acutally drain out of the skimmer....

  3. i switch from a red dragon 10m3 to Rio HF20......frankly, i do not notice any differences in terms of its impact on the water quailty....in both cases, by NO3 cannot be detected by the test kit, and PO4 from Hanna shows from 0.00 (after rowaphos change) to 0,06 (1-2 months after rowaphos change )......

seriously, you should aim to give yourself good turnover, but beyond certain point, it gets quite meaningless and does nothing productive.....

  4. hi guys,

I'm looking for a small frag (around 3 inch) of the famous red table ..... the originator was from Linkinpark or Scarab....

willing to trade with a frag pack of blue poly digi (purple growth tip) + frag purple poly digi + green poly dawsawi....

Trade day would be this Sat, national day. Do post a picture of the frag if possible....

Not looking at selling my corals, so don't PM me for sale of my frags..... :thanks:

  5. too much copper kills fish also.....i don't know about the state of your aircon.....but when i measured mine using TDS there is 5ppm of 'stuff'.....as to what these elements are i don't know.....but i definately won't be risking killing off my LS for a few bucks save.....

  7. What do size you think can suit better to my house?

Protein skimmer will be Skimz sidea M200, it got to be under the cabinet. its using Aquabee up5000 pin wheel, you think still not enough?

The showroom is having 50% sps and 50% lps. Anything will do for me as long as colour ful and look like natural reef.

You are humble, I heard you are master of sps before. I should learn more from you, and I really thank you for your kind advice.

hahaha....he stays in a flat (big one), and he keeps a 6 footer.....that is why by comparison your is tiny......

i think for a big tank, you need big processing capacity. it might be using a up5000 pump but because of its design, the impeller is changed to a needlewheel (hummm...can anyone confirm that aquabee themself product needlewheel impeller or it is a modified from the pump?) so don't be surprise that the volume of water passing through it is very little....not sure about the model of the skimmer, but if it fits under a cabinet, i don't think its capacity is high....:P

he definately the master.....

  8. Red dragon? sound chinese to me at first. Not a problem steve is selling it too, will keep this in mind if Aquabee breaks down.

Its not so much about worrying about mistake, just like to share and enjoy the hobby.

Red Dragon is German la....very good pump, extremely high return for its power consumption....i have the aquabee before and now using the red dragon, personally, i don't think the bee is anyway near the league of the dragon.....:D :D :D
