  1. Hi all! Took the opportunity of the 1 week school break to work on my pipings. Changed my MAK5 to 2 Sequence DARTs coz the MAK5 couldn't deliver the required flowrate. Deduced that this was the cause of 2 factors. 1) The piping run from the pump to chiller to tank was too long and also considering the number of 90deg bends and friction loss. 2) Piping delivered by tankmaker was only 3/4" which at certain stages were reduced to 1/2" and even 3/8". Therefore, decided to re-run my pipings and change all to 1" with reduction at chiller return only just before entering the tank (due to carpentry work over the tank...doh! Also changed the sump after doing a system test and the sump flooded right up to abt 1" from the rim...Very dangerous coz the skimmer was not even connected yet . Couldn't have done this without the invaluable help of weisoon! So here goes... 1st up, the materials needed.
  2. Yah man! Looks like you both have come a long way!
  3. Yup. And be sure to apply a generous amount on both joints.
  4. Nice tank Alan! Well done! Looks like zeovit works well for you...not to exclude the combination of your equipment! Congrats!
  5. Thanks Gouldian! Will drop by tomorrow to check. BTW, leaking from inlet and outlet manifold of pumps where I used sealing tape. Pipings almost completed, sump no leak. This sat gonna fill in with sand and maybe rockscape. Cheers!
  6. Hi! Anyone knows where to liquid thread sealant? It's use to seal screw threads instead of using the normal thread sealing tape (white tape). You just apply it onto the screw thread before screwing in the male/female joints. Need to get it ASAP. White tape not working well to keep water from leaking from the threaded union.
  7. Anytime bro! You've got my hp number...just give me a buzz!

  10. It's going for abt $2k+ now. Custom made the screen coz using a fixed, non-retractable screen. Cheaper than buying a Stewart which is abt $2k upwards.
  11. For home theatre, you can try Infocus 4805. It's actually for home theatre usage and not multi-media. There's a faroudja chip in it for processing movies. I'm in the midst of setting one up as well. Welcome to drop by to have a look. Cheers!

  14. For normal people like us, more like "she is like the main tank, you are like the skimmer waste collection cup" A bit out of our league unless you have the looks of Brad Pitt and the pockets of a millionaire.
