Hi, i have been my cycling my tank for a month already, i had my usual ammonia spike, and nitrite spike so i thought was right on track. Right now my ammonia reading has been 0. But my nitrite level since then last week has been high and my nitrate now has spiked. Nitrite and nitrate remains high and off the chart of my API test. Is there some kind of a problem with my water? :/

Hmmss... so if i modify this method by using 3 containers, first to run presendiment filter, 2nd to run activated carbon and finallly 3rd resin filter. This be sufficiently effective to remove chlorine and bring tds down to 0? Hmms. I am kind of confuse. So this method basically lets u run the water through the water through the media repeatedly until the resevoir of water is "cleaned" and deionised.will this actually save you money compared to actually getting the actual filter?

Am thinking of starting a saltwater reef aquarium and have been looking around online and have a rough idea hoe i would start. Would need some advice about the lights tho. I have a tank size 60 × 30 × 45(l x w x h). Am wondering what kind of lighting and what watt should i get if i want to keep corals. They are like the most expensive item after i looked around many LFS. Would i been needing a chiller? If yes what kind? (I assume sg climate i wont beed a heater) And any idea if a OF Nanoskim protein skimmer works well and would be good for my tank? It says it is suitable for tank below 300liter. Thank you guys!
