  3. hi ! i took a break from reefing due to other commitments and but decided to get back in a few weeks ago. i left my tanks running , but reduced a lot of the live stock , as i have an empty 1x2x2 shallow tank , i was planning to have an anemone only tank with some clownfish. i was wondering how much clownfish i have to put together so that they will school , instead of only having 1 pair that end up killing/chasing away the rest. sorry if the terms ive used were wrong/confusing as i havent been on the forums in a while . thanks in advance for you feedback!
  4. oh ok thanks , is there any way to control the temperature of the water output of the chiller ?
  5. hi , recently my chiller has been showing a much higher temperature than it actually is (around 30) so causes my water to get very cold and some of my corals are bleaching , any way i can fix it ? thanks

  13. I have been very busy , so I haven't had the time to update much, haven't really bought much, but I noticed that my kh was low... I've been using my old seachem kh buffer for a few days now. I'm wondering if I should dose a little bit Everyday ? Or stick to the twice a week dosing , as I'm scared of losing my sps due to rtn/stn, and what other brands are good kh buffers? Thx Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. for the qt, how do you recommend i set it up? havent done it before , as most of my fishes havent been very hard to keep my only worry is that the achillies tang would not be able survive in a makeshift system
  15. am currently feeding mysis shrimp, just wondering what is the best food to feed my carpet
  16. thinking of getting a achilles tang , not sure if my tank is ready yet, never really added any hard to keep fishes. should i test with a pbt first? tank stock list emperor angel yellow tang 2 blue tangs 2 saddleback clowns 1 black snowflake clown one jewel wrasse one melanurus wrasse flame angel keyhole angel one bowtie damsel(have been trying to catch this guy) corals are all sps with a few softies that encrusted on the rocks when i had a mixed reef fishes are all fat and doing very well only keyhole angel doesnt eat, but pecks on rocks, still rather fat tank is a 4x2x2, all the fishes have a good space to swim
  17. hi, i have an emperor angel, and indeed it is a very beautiful fish, but my suggestion is that you only add it when your tank is mature enough .mine only started eating after a week or so. you tank should be big enough, but try not to get an emperor that is big, mine is a rather smaller sized one in a 422. and it has a good amount of room to swim in. angel fishes are known to nip on soft corals and lps, so gsp ,mushrooms and xenia may be a problem. mine however doesn't bother any of my soft corals. angelfishes in general do tend to nip on corals , but most should be fine with sps. but do make sure that your tank is mature enough and the other fishes are doing well first
