  1. ok i see... thanks for clarification. Otriginally i thought u will closed thread only if the F word or hokkien vulgarities is hurl at each other...so we will have to be careful with our words. think its better tt way too....more cordial to maintain politeness..other forumers who read it also feel good. thanks once again for clarifying..now when i read it again (the closed thread), i do see fire getting out of control if u didnt close the earlier thread.
  2. yeah i read that already ...but still dont get it how come the earlier thread is closed due to what huh??? as mentioned....i didnt see anything hostile or offensive leh...hmmmm ok lah...i think i better stop asking....ask too much si ga li yellow carded also...pai seh pai seh.. will be polite and courteous from now on..
  3. I read the rules and regulation again after the earlier closed thread....but seriously.. Sorry for my stupid question, i read the closed thread on CF and saw AT(mod) last reply in the closed thread..he mentioned something like Yellow Card. Understand in soccer term, Yellow Card means first warning and Red Card means Expulsion. As i am relatively new to the forum, can i ask how do we know if we kenna yellow card from AT? How do AT(Mod) judge who and who kenna yellow card? based on what? Cos its seems to me "Shut up" might seems rude..but grammatically and definition wise, it is nothing offensive or hostile leh.. Like the last thread (on CF) tt is closed, How do one knows who kenna yellow card? I wanted to make sure so that my future posting do not warrant a yellow card as well cos, sometime, i admit i can be quite careless with words too though i seriously dont mean to be hostile to any other fellow forumers. AT(mod) do you care to advice? Can PM me if the reply is a little sensitive..or reply here if it is beneficial for all to know. If i sound stupid, pls accept my apology again...but i just wanna cover my own backside in case i was yellow or red carded for something which perhaps i might deem not hostile or provocative...thanks ppl.
  4. yup...but most comments are rather skew to one aspect. I thought i might be able to gather some info from bros who tried both methods to share their real live experiences.. thanks for pointing out anyway.
  5. Hi, Recently heard that seawater bought from farms are esp good and ppl even commented their corals seems to be opening bigger with seawater and marine fish, more radiant and livelier. Is it truth or plain Bull shit? Is there any advantage of using seawater over DIY water? Will using seawater enhance anything? For once, i only know if i uses seawater, maybe there will be no or less problems from phosphate, silicate and chloramine (all from tap water) thanks...all feedbacks from bro who tried both DIY and seawater will be much appreciated as u will be those that can give unbiased reply i guess

  8. Hi ppl, I thought of going down to T95 later after work (fri), does anyone know what time does it closes? cos i can only reach there earlierst 6+ pm.
  9. hahah...i read this and the other thread with amuse.. flaming comments aplenty....but notice the same ppl still went there to buy no matter how critical they are to the shop and its owner. (me inclusive) lets face it...how many LFS in spore actually closes down or change their method of housing their LS just because forumers are flaming them in forums? I bet not many, if not none. Ultimately the sporean mentality is quite obvious here.....complain and complain..but ultimately...who cares? who will borther to take some concrete and concerted effort in making sure the shop owner wake up his idea?? I hope I can be proven wrong....But dont depend on me to educate them ....cos though i have a sense of responsibility towards my own fish, I am not anywhere near a marine life conservationist.
  10. agreed with neokn. No doubt, its our responsibility to take care of the fishes in our tank and its nice and warming to see people spreading the knowledge on how to take good care of marine life in their tank. BUT, lets not try to behave pro-marine life saver or what... in the first place, if so 'pro', dan shdnt even have set up a marine tank as these fishes belongs to the ocean...keeping in a tank no matter how well u take care of it wont be as good as it living in the vast ocean. so cut the lobbying of boycotting the shops unless someone dare say he belongs to some world marine organisation dealing with saving marine life. Else, we are just common marine fish hobbist.... Each and everyone of us I believe is sensible enough to decide for ourself if this place is worth buying from based on our own reasoning... Instead of lobbying for boycott, i rather someone can actually stands out to volunteer himself as a representative to inform the boss how many reefers are concern on the way they are handling their fishes and would urge them to be more responsible. If it works, the shop survive, reefers enjoy buying from them at cheap price. its a win-win situation. But if we boycott them, the shops might close down, reefers are left with 1 less choice... to some it may be a lose-win situation. to some it may be a lose-lose situation. In short, it is will never be a win-win situation if all decides to boycott the place without first informing the boss what is gravely wrong...
  11. How can i make my BTA move to the center of my tank facing the front? Somehow, that fellow enjoy one small corner at the back of my tank.. Hardly any water current there and light intensity at that area maybe also not as direct or strong.. Feeding it is also a problem due to its location and monitoring if it has tear or wound on its body is near impossible.... How ah? I seriously think i must make it move again leh....else later die alr also dunno...whole tank crash...
  12. Hi experts out there, can i ask for sharing of successful experience in keeping this nice fellow-Green Mandarin Fish. Read that they are carnivores and eat vitamin enriched brine shrimp. Also understand that they do well in mature tanks.... any other useful info to share so that this beauty can be well taken care of without fearing it will starve itself to death?
  13. hi, can i ask what is the normal market price of peppermint shrimp? am interested in it too..
