Apart from algae, fishes and corals are healthy. Infact its doing well. If i were to restart my tank, i would do this method, cycle with NSW. I did this too.. but not sure if it is part of the cycling process or due to the tap water, but i have some algae problem for a month or two. But it is stable now. In long term, ammonia is not an issue.. ur BB break it down.. unless something died in the tank or your fishes give tons of poop.. you need to worry more on nitrate/phospate.

Are you trying to cycle ur tank? I dont think ammonia is an issue once you completed its cycle. If there is ammonia spike, then address the problem.
