  2. Hello all whom bought the ozone generator,

Based on what I'd heard and read, seems like oxidation aids a fair bit in nitrate reduction.

Anybody tried measuring your nitrates before and after installing the ozone?

Just like to know your comments on this issue.

  3. reason i'm letting go this guy is that i've make the mistake of introducing it as the first tang in my tank.....so far it has killed a shallowtail angel and a chevron plus has seriously injuired my tomini (that is 50% bigger).....:cry2:....

Killed yr chevron, whacked yr tomini!:shock:

    You have my condolences... :(

  4. Hello iori_del,

It has been some time since you updated your thread with more photos. Care to share more pictures of your tang tank?

Yr fowlr really inspires... just that i got no balls to put all the expensive tangs in 1 tank as you did.

    Keep the pictures coming.

  5. I'm probably just pure lucky. I don't consider myself successful for keeping a clown tang for just a year plus. From what I gather from the internet, they have an min avg lifespan of 7 yrs in the wild!

For me, I feed them with Spiralina, Red and purple seaweed, sometimes with cyclops as well. The other tangs love it as well...

I believe yours will do even better as u only intend to keep just one tang.

    Cheers.

  6. Thanks AhLoon!

Already had an idea in mind before we bought the flat in December last year. So i suppose planning started then and into the whole renovation process. Still sorting out the finer details.

To tell you the truth...planning never ends. WE ALL still think about how to better improve our tanks all the time don't we? ;)

    Cheers!

    Very cool. :D

I'm very curious how you will be hooking up the chiller from the balcony area... I'd been thinking about this too... Pls share some pics on this.

    Interesting thread to monitor! :)

  7. Hi Eric,

I had mine for a year plus... Eats anything now and it had grown from a 2 inch specimen to around 4 inch now. I don't know the aggression level of yours, but mine is the BOSS. It allows me to hand feed him and hated my magnetic glass cleaner to the core! (will bite or ram its body against it)

I guess if you allow it to terrorise and be the boss, u'll increase its chance for survival. However, it also means the difficulty in introducing new tangs.

Try to give it more veges... i noticed mine coloration dropped when i feed too much brine/mysis shrimps. Once i feed nori and vege flakes more frequently the color improves.
