  1. Both tanks reserved and awaiting collection this evening.
  2. Oops .. collection place is off Yio Chu Kang Road. Also, will be selling the following T5 HO lighting set inclusive of tubes/ 1) Atman T5 HO dual tubes 29W Give me an offer.
  3. Here are two 3ft tanks which I am giving away to anyone who is interested to use it as quarantine tank for your new marine fish arrivals or for new setups for saltwater. Previously these two tanks are quarantine tanks for new arrivals and they contain Grade 1 sand. For those who want "aged" water and sand, bring whatever container you have otherwise the sand will goes to my garden and the water to the drain. These tanks must be clear to make way for a larger tank before this Sunday as the contractor are coming on Monday Jan 17, 2006 to commence their work. If no one wants it then the contractor will "smash" it for the garbage truck.
  4. Bro monsterz1975 ... Upgrading again? Anyway, upzzz for you.
  5. Nice to hear that you're getting good results from the Vortex Filter. ..
  6. Here is the address of the official AquaBee Reseller: Fishy Things Enterprise Blk 477, Pasir Ris Dr. 6 Nr. 12-520 510477 Singapore Te./Fax 65-65817873 eMail gerri.david@pacific.net.sg Hope this helps.
  7. That's why the MCE600 makes you poorer by S$600.
  8. For list of LFSs to buy, check out the sponsors thread re: eAquaNature.com
  9. The design of this skimmer doesn't allows any micro-bubbles to escape to the outlfow compartment as it is well contain inside the reaction chamber. Pump flowrate? Can't remember but I believe the AquaBee pump to be at least a 2000 L/H using the patented Deltec pinwheel.
  10. You will enjoy free vibration operation with the unit as long as possible until or after the 1st mainitenace where you "strip" the unit and assemble it again. Depending on your skill level, the vibration noise may or may not happen. It will not happen if the pump is slot tightly to the inlet piping otherwise it will results in vibration due to loosely couple connection. Found this out the hard way .... Anyway, the vibration noise won't irritate you and is easily cancel out by surrounding noise.
  11. Unit base to point of hanging = 800mm or 11" Currently I am hanging this unit on the wall of the sump and here is a pic taken just after maintenance yesterday.
  12. Yes .. the MCE600 is supporting the 6' tank and NO3 about 20ppm which is fine since it is only a FOWLR with 2 heavy feedings. Also, would believe that the NO3 can be lower if light feeding is given. Seeing the real setup in action? This is no problem as long as there is a door gift otherwise the 2 dogs won't be friendly with you. Anyway, just kidding .. let me know.
  13. This MCE600 is currently servicing a "rojak" 6'x2'x2' FOWLR tank housing 16 livestocks. Every week got to empty the waste collector due to 2 feedings of 8 cubes per feed of either frozen mysis or brine shrimp. But would believe that you won't have to do this if the feeding is moderate.
  14. If the edge of your eurobracing to the side of the tank is not more than 60mm in width then the skimmer can "hang" comfortably without any stress otherwise it is a NO, NO.
  15. That is correct ... edge to edge.
  16. Bro Weileong or Losmandy Don't put words into my mouth as I don't recommend any reefers to buy this PinPoint Calcium Monitor as my recommendations are as follows: QUOTE: 1) If you have more than 3 tanks and has a deep pocket than buy it as the trouble taken to calibrate everytime is worth than counting the number of drops with the test kit. 2) If you are ony have 1 tank then better count the drops and spend the $400+ on other equipment. UNQUOTE The word here is "IF" ..... Anyway I have no obligation to reply you but just want to set the record straight.
  17. If my memory doesn't fails me, I think the calculation is (1-0.71) x 16 = 4.64 x 2 = 9.28 Basing on records, the lowest n highest readings for CA over a 6 months period ranges from 400 to 525 ppm and with calibration everytime before taking the readings. So are these readings ok?
  18. Whoa .. thanks for the sharing the info regarding the difference equating to kH and afterall mine is just a "rojak" reef tank of LPS n softies which can tolerate such variances. Anyway without Reef Maniacs's customized CR, I doubt the tank can attain a level of consistent Ca level of 450ppm with 9.28kH and min pH fluctuation resulting in a healthy environment to my 8 Tangs and 15 Anthias in the 6ft tank.
  19. Since you asked for it, here are the exact measuements: Length or Width = 260mm Chassis Depth = 85mm (excluding the inflow pipework) Height = 465mm (up to the collection cup) Hope this info helps
  20. Bro.... Apologized that I didn't got time to write a review even though in operation for more than a year. Tuning wise very easy and once it is tuned - it just rock and roll. As for the emptying the collection cup more frequent depends on your feeding too but overall as this is the result of good skimming. This is what I meant by small collection cup ... only the right shaded triangle is the collection cup.
  21. IMHO, the variance from this equipment is acceptable as it is about 10ppm to 20ppm depending on which of the three test kits is used to authenticate the accuracy. Quite satisfied with it as I don't expect it to perform like a lab-grade unit but at least it save one the hassle of counting the drops. Test kits used for authentication:
  22. My comments: 1) Need to calibrate everytime you use it even though the probe is stored in its original housing with calibration solution in upright position. 2) If place in the tank or sump for continuously monitoring then it has to place in a low flow area otherwisethe reading keeps fluctuating. My recommendation: 1) If you have more than 3 tanks and has a deep pocket than buy it as the trouble taken to calibrate everytime is worth than counting the number of drops with the test kit. 2) If you are ony have 1 tank then better count the drops and spend the $400+ on other equipment. My 3 cts.
