1. Think it is due to the sensitivity of the sensor. Had the same prob before, but now I place the controller nearer to windows so that sensor is facing out and it works even in total darkness.
Think it got to do with difference between ambience lights vs the lights going to the sensor.

Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk 2

2. Better not. Tried MP10 on my 10mm 3ft tank with a layer of 1mm acrylic sheet and it drop off easily especially with full blast mode.

Thks. Guess I gotta look at other wavemaker options.

  3. Hi,

I having a 2.5FT cube tank 12mm glass, would MP10 be enough? Heard MP10 cannot be used on 12mm glass thickness? Any bros using it on 12mm glass?

Or will an MP40 be overkill for my tank?

  4. Was the chiller pump the right flow rated for the chiller?

Had a similar chiller CL650, the temperature reading was erratic and keep jumping between 26-28 degrees. After switching to an external temperature controller, the problem was resolved. So you might want to switch over to an external temperature controller if the problem is not with the chiller pump.

  5. I keep 1 pair of blue striped and 2 janns pipes together with wrasses, tangs and angels. they are doing fine and does eat together with the other fishes.

but it is best you ensure they are feeding on frozen before releasing into the main tank. and also provide caves for them to sleep at the underside of the caves.

try to get the rather hardy type of pipe fishes like blue striped and janns... for the rest of the variants I would suggest keeping in a species-specific tank instead.
