Hi wish to sell this chiller that i got from a fellow reefer about 2 months ago, just got a new project 5x2.5x2 tank 800l to be my reef tank , so will be converting to chilldown, so selling this chiller can chill down my 500l tank in 3hrs for 1.2c so i recommend it for lesser then 4x2x2 tank , tried it on a 2ft tank, pulled down the temp to 11c but never tried more . good product, i just got it, seet told me it will take a few weeks to see results, but i saw it in 1 day, nv knew my octos could open this way, huge and thick, hammer also like a bush, amazing

i'm not sure if my bubble will recover, i put in for 3 days in my refugium and it bubble up but half of it seems gone, i only see tissue but no bubbles or tentacles, then i took it out to smell, no foul smell also, but got brown patches on the skeleton ,scrub that off as i read that it might cause irritation , then out it back into the main tank where the flow is slow, half of it bubble up nicely but the other half still a mass of small green tissue, dont know if it'll survive not, the rest of my lps ( octos, galaxea, tongue, ) softies ( hairy mushroom, yumas, discosomas, gsp, pipe organ, glove ) sps (acropora, hyrdopora) all doing well except this green bubble, i really duno whats the cause for it

but i've check several sites and they recommend 1.026 for most inverterbrates,is it different for the green bubble? mine also having problem now, the entire thing shrink to a small mass of tentacles, was worried so i drop it into my refugium and 1 small prawn a day and now opening up a little bit better, but definately nowhere as nice as last week, parameters have not change, i always log my tests. except was having abit of a problem with the temperature, went up to 28, for a day but that was after the bubble was already acting weird. and i cant really reduce the salinity as i have an octopus sharing the same tank water

ok cooling sucks, cooling effeciency seems to be no difference from running 1 chiller at a time, i wonder y, issit because 1 of the chiller's hot air got circulated by the other chiller? or issit my 36w uv increasing heat, coz water flow into the uv is very slow possibly increase heat? just turn off my uv, will observe more

i can only report on the cooling efficency, but not on the electric usuage , as i duno how to test for amps and calculate, and bills i usually just pay without looking, i dont even know how much electric my tank consume so far on 1 chiller

currently i am using 1 inline chiller with pump 2000l/hr flowrate going to sump, and a drop in coil in my connected octopus tank which is constantly cooling at 22-23c, but its the main tank i am concern with now, coz the flowrate to my octopus tank is very hard to control as it runs tru 2 FR and a 36w UV , on 1 single chiller main tank temp is 27.3c to 28c but i notice the chiller keeps on kicking on and off, so this morning i attached my old chiller, to the sump, yet to see results yet, tonite back home then i can observe. but which 2 chillers kicking on , but theory wise it should require lesser time to cool down the tank, so if it can maintain same electric usuage as a 1hp chiller i am happy already, but if it doesnt work i probably have to look into a starmex ,

Hi like to ask would running 2 x 1/3hp chillers connected to the same external thermostat be as efficient (cooling and electric consumption) as running 1 bigger 3/4hp or 1 hp chiller? current setup is 500l of water with 2x150mh and 2 fl actinic , total pumps wattage for 4 pumps arn 200w

actually i also thinking of asking something similar, any kinds of marcoalgae that can be planted in main display for the seaweed natural look but yet wont go asexual, chaeto is out of the question coz will look weird to have a ball tumbling and floating all around in the main tank, have tried turtle weed but overnight it just turn white, then i pull out all the white hair and now only left 1 small green tuff and hoping it will grow back again, any recommendations? anyway my tank is a mix reef without sps
