  1. I suspect so too. Will check for that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. May I know what is the consumption rate of your Co2? I’m still in the midst of fine tuning, latest set effluent flow rate at 32ml/min and ph 6.6 for the controller, I finished a 3L bottle of Co2 within 2 weeks. Sound excessive right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Thanks. The thing with Skimz CM117 is it uses a single pump that serves as both feed and circulation pump. I just watched BRS video on CR recirculation rate impact on Alk value. Seems it is ok to dial it down since the variance in alk value is about 10-18%. I’ll try slow down the pump to reduce pressure and connect to the Kamoer FX STP as draw. 4. Anyone using a peristaltic pump to control effluent of Skimz CM117/157 CR? 1. What CR pump speed are you using? 2. Thought of using a peristaltic pump to control the effluent drip rate but am worry about the output pressure at the effluent output tube. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Hi anyone know where I can get needle pinch valve like these: Want to try using it to reduce pressure on CR drip valve. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Hi, any local LFS selling this? https://aquariumplants.com/carbondoser-electronic-co2-regulator-best-in-the-world-free-shipping-10-in-store-coupon-credit-automatically-applied-to-your-account/ Thanks [emoji1431] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Hi Guys, am keen on getting one but worry about reliability especially in our tropical climate since no support locally. Grateful your feedback on this. Thanks [emoji1431] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. Not so much, but I have DSB in the main tank. I'm thinking of getting some brittle stars and urchins cleaning crew. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. But that's not what I want [emoji22] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Guess so, old tank more than 10 years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. My tank is over run by mushroom corals. They are killing other corals adjacent and now threatening the SPS at the top. Any suggestion how to get rid of them other than changing the life rocks? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Hope parents won't give in to their 宝贝 pestering. It's not a hobby that you can delegate to your maid! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  20. Hi Guys, where can find 60L or larger food grade Hdpe drum in the east? I stay in Eunos area. Thanks
  21. Actually the wattage depends on the speed you choose. Anything between 8 to max 35watts. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. Heat generation is directly related to the power of the pump. Being 35 watts it generates much lesser heat compared to other high watts pumps and pushes more water. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. Use Reverse a osmosis (RO) is good enough. Adding deionized DI would great if you don't mind spending more is changing the DI resins periodically. RO membrane if taken care with back flow wash can last a long time. I have not changed my RO membrane for last 3-4 years. Only change the prefilter which is cheap if you buy Malaysia. 24. I have been using the smaller gyre for about a month now, must say that this the BEST wave maker (more correct current maker) I have used last 10 years of my reefing experience. I think the key thing is the movement of current from surface to the tank wall, bottom and then to tank wall again. It makes sense because it reminded me of what an experience diver told me about reason of the unbelievable coral wall at Bunaken Marine Park, ie. Nutrients and pods from bottom of the sea are brought up by current. No wonder corals in my tank have greater polyp extension [emoji1] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  25. Yes, am using a FR.. One thing I learned from Zeovit method is shake the FR on weekly basis to prevent pellets from sticking together. The KZ bacteria I use is Biomate, it cleans the substrate and reduce phosphate trapped in rocks. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
