I encountered the same thing 2 weeks back, which I suspect due to either water flow too high or temperature too high (29 deg C). Now I moved them to a low flow region and added a fan, and they open nicely.

Using 2 x 9W PL. I am still searching for a better option for lighting. I don't have a skimmer as the tank is too small. So changing water twice a week.

Tank is 350 x 200 x 230 mm. No skimmer. Just Eheim Liberty 100 hang on filter.

They has 2 feeler like things coming out. It is not very clear but you can see it in the one on the lower right.

Hi, These 2 guys came with the small hammer coral and seem to be permanently hidded inside their holes. They seem to give out long spider web like threads. Anyone can id them? Thanks

Ya, it is a real trouble maker. I kind of suspect it to be behind the deaths of the other 2 clownfishes, but have no proof. Is this possible? It was added with the first clownfish, and has outlived all of them, molted twice. walks all over the corals and steals food from the anemone.

2/3 clownfishes dead probably my fault. 1 was injured already at lfs but i did not notice. to CKS, yes, I added saltwater, sand, turn on pump, and then went out to get LR. Is this wrong?? Anyway, it was >1 month ago
