  1. reefworld got alot of specis of anthias, at least 5 different kind, not so common ones. Only know few of them like Evansi, Canberry and Red Lytail. Still got 2-3 types, don't know what are they. Also have 2 very beautiful Tang from Maldives, size about 20cm, don't know their name...
  2. Take a look at the following thread, it should answer your query http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?...=0entry175947
  3. IMO, before you going to buy any fish, it is better to study them more. I think boxfish is not easy to keep. see this http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Di...id=21&pCatId=81. "This is a very difficult fish to keep in the aquarium setting by any other than the most experienced aquarist....Use caution if placing the Spotted Boxfish in a reef tank as they will often nibble at tubeworms. If stressed, the Cubicus Boxfish releases a poisonous substance, called ostracitoxin, from its mucous glands which will kill other fish in the tank very quickly." And the golden Angle fish, see this http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Di...=21&pCatId=1154 "caution should be used if there is an abundance of LPS and SPS coral in the tank. This species has been known to nip at these corals as well as Xenia corals. In most cases the fish will not damage these corals, but rather just irritate them." just my 2 cent worth... You have a nice landscape
  4. it will be good if you can tell us how you setup your tank. We need to know how you do your biological filter. Do you have Deep Sand Bed? Do you have coral chips in your main tank, in your sump? Do you use bio ball? Do you do nutrient export in terms of prunning macro algae? What type of skimmer are you using? With the above details provided in detail, I believe people will be able to help you. Else it will be telling people I have a problems, please help....
  5. First you must be clear what you want, you want the pump with the needle wheel or just the pump? If you want the former, I don't think you can get the pump with the needle wheel together in SG, eg Aquabee and Eheim. If have, it will command a very high price. But if you want to know which pump can be use with a needle wheel, it will be Aquabee 2000/2000l/3000, Eheim 1260 and Sendra, and you make your DIY needle wheel to fix on it.
  6. Goto Paradiz Reef, they have the ARM calcium media...
  7. My PH Probe is cover with coraline algae, was thinking of leaving it overnight in Vinegar, will it damaged the probe? Please advised, thanks.
  8. I believe the first pictures is taken when the fish is opening its mouth(like yawning), that is why it look weird, else base on its colouration, it should be a very beautiful fish.
  9. my advice is to get the CR2. As for the dual gauge regulator, since it include a solenoid, you will need a setup down transformer for it if you are getting from MRC, same goes to the PH controller. I have the CR1 but have not hook it up yet...
  10. I did not watch the news, my wife was the one that told me, so was thinking anyone catch a glimpse of it?
  11. Did anyone catch the chinese news at 10pm on channel 8 just now? I heard it reported 2 lorry full of coral were being sized at woodland checkpoint, can anyone confirm this?
  12. yes there are, been keeping one in my mixed reef for a year+
  13. Not cable TV, I think they call it Arts Central channel, tonight 9PM...
  14. Hi Reefers Don't miss out tonight at Central, there is a documentary on Coral Reef..... Enjoy.
  15. no problems at all, I remove mine over a period of a few months....
  16. it is best that you can give the brand of the T5 tubes that you are going to use. As far as I know, ATI and Deltec are. If you are going to use Dymax one, then they are not.
  17. I have use this product, this is what I would say IMHO MONEY ALL GONE......
  18. I have been running my AC fan 7x24 for about 9 months, I have not encounter any failure yet....
  19. it is best if you use a 36W PL, 6500K. Normal FL cannot sustain the growth of macro algae well, tested it and proven.
  20. paying $350 for a ruwal, I might as well get a euroreef. The ruwal is not using a needlewheel, it is just a 6 blade impeller only. The bubbles it produce is not up to standard as those H&S or euroreef. I believe Pacific Marine is selling way cheaper than what you quote, at least the last time round when I get it about 1-2 years back. Here is the pictures of the skimmer in action, take note, when I am using this skimmer, you will need a constant water level.
  21. If you want to control phosphate, you should use rowaphos or contraphos, I dont think polyfilter will remove phosphate. You have lots of cyano growing on the sand bed, advise is to remove them by ###### them during your water change. You will suck out some sand during the process, wash the sand and then put in back into the tank. Make sure you only suck the fine layer of sand, just enough to remove the cyano. Other than that, you have a got a nice tank.
  22. let me share my experience with you. I once have lots of mushroom and one fine day, one rock of the mushroom started to melt. At first I thought it is ok since it is happening on just one single mushroom, to my terror, it spread to the rest of the mushroom in my tank. All my lovely mushroom started to melt one by one. Then I started to use Tech D from Kent, I remove each and every single mushroom rock and treat it with Tech D. After that treatment, my melting eposide stops... Hope this is of help for you...
  23. welcome to the club, my red goniopora is seeing the same fate as you. I have been keeping it for 7 months plus and recently, it is shrinking....what a waste.... we should leave it in the sea...
  24. yep, that is right. The only downside is that the bubbles created is not fine enough when you compare to the needlewheel used by H&S in their aquabee pump.
