  5. OH that moon landing is sure a one mother big hoax......... Anyway....BH....why not start with a smaller scale ...maybe like....smaller tank with more hardy corals or maybe just fishes & liverock then proceed to those hardy coral & in time of doing so we can get the student to do research during their free time on the how to copy the ls natural environment in the sea. I'm doing that at home now with my 2 boys....explaing to them almost all their questions....why alomost....?...because some I ahve no answer lah Even my wife just found out know that most corals need not be fead as they have their algea counterparts that keeping them alive....thus giving the green light for me to invest in my MH lighting.... Is that clever psychology or what

  7. Canister filter will make a good FR compared to the actual FR. only thing U have to take care is to make sure that U have proper filter medium to prevent the media like Rowa or carbon from exiting from the canister. Look at the filter sponge in the actual FR. Then of course theres the flow rate that U need to look into..... If Ur using the filter own pump to pump in & out water than the slow flow rate might just make the impeller go bonkers....wat U can do is to remove the impeller installation ie. cover, impeller, etc....altogether then use a separate PH to pump in water.....nomally canister filter flowrate should be about 600l/hr & above so U might want to consider a smaller .....very small volume of PH ...maybe 200l/hr.... I tried it before....works well...especially for carbon but one set back is.....since the casing is green then u cant see well wats inside....&....that canister is still in good condition thats why i stop using it as FR & put aside for emergency.....
  8. Had algea problem about a month back......wat I did was to have a water change every week.....quality water ah..... then increase the phospate removing medium by introducing rowa, Phosguard & phosphate removing liquid all at one go......& of course constanly dosing kalk & calcium ....... Now wats left are the scars that `BURNED THE HOLE IN MY HEART & IN MY POCKETS.....WALLET TOO'
  9. So...how Sis?......MC `Rose' Hammer still available?
  10. Sis.....have sms U for the rose hammer....
  11. If U want can dose small qty everyday....not too much or try not to follow the dosage printed on the packaging. If quarantined liao than should be no problem.....dose as required for one day & feed not too much as there shouldnt be any carbon that will reduse the meds efficiency thus no other chemical removed in the process. Within 2 to 3 days see how 's the result than add carbon to quarantine tank to remove previous meds before adding new dosage.
  12. Alamak Brudder....invite everybody but never post address...apalah lu...
  13. All medication will cause an imbalance to the system, especially when U have to remove the carbon & off the skimmer for it to be moer effective. I used this product before but it causes a big disruption to my system that it almost `up-lorry'. If Ur blue tang is cured & now the damsel has it then I suggets U stop medication as damsels are pretty hardy to ich & it should be gone in few days time. As for me I have given up on medication & will just let the itch be until it dissappear since it will any-o-how come back to infect Ur lifestock. As long as Ur fishes are feeding U should be more than happy as animals, at times, are just like us human......as long we consume good food, live in a clean environment.......we should be more tolerant to diseases..... Trylah....don shy.....

  17. I walked in one day into the shop (last year while I was running my 3ftr) & overheard the salesgirl told a customer: Customer: Then, how U change water? SG : No need one.....just top up evoparted water... I approach them & explain the significance of changing water...then the girl blur. Even my wife whose not into aquarium hobby told them otherwise. But seriously lah brudder...foget about Ur equipment & concentrate on re-infocing, at least, what left of `the thing that may damn you to hell forever'
  18. Go to almost any car accessories shop & ask for those hard acrylic repair compund for windshield. I saw one, most probably in Century Square, selling it. On the packaging it says that the compund is very strong & hard when cured & it is transparent that no one will notice it. Try not to use diamond polish as it is a tank full of water & since full, it is pressurised therfore you might not remove the scratch or chip but making new ones instead & we know what will happen to scrathed glass with pressure applied to it.
