  1. Cherm... we are not have the luxury. WE WORKED HARD for it and go thru the right means to get things done. By the way that u are oweing pple and ur bargaining and begging pple to give u installments but not PAYING up... definatly u have some problem in ur character. So when u lost ur job dun blam others, try askin ur self if u have tried hard enough. Rather trying hard to convince pple to sell u things that u dun pay up. Retribution... wil get u back u know ... I dun have to say but someone UP there will punish bad pple
  2. **Black-hearted** U just need to clarify why do u TAKE things from others and now u are selling the exact things away claiming it's spare. Vincent, monitor and get your share from him oncehe sell it. otherwise u will never get ur money back. U Know u will get ur retribution...
  3. yar heard that camel shrimps does that... will monitor the camel shrimps closely and thanks for the info dude. Cheers.
  4. WOw... i always thought he's someone with lots of cash for initial setup. Hmmm... i think of banning him will not solve the prob as he'll just visit other forum and harm others... we should monitor pasar malan closely and keep our new members safe... now already 打è‰æƒŠè›‡ã€‚
  5. Jervis... thanks thanks... just my 2 cents worth.
  6. yar i also think so... but currently 2 cleaner shrimp (Bigger size) that i've added recently from Henry are surviving pretty well and grown pretty well in it, also molted at least 4 times liao. I've learn how to keep inverts and triggers together. From my experience till now. 1. before adding any fish or inverts, catch the trigger out and put into refugium (In individual compartment better) 2. Add ur new fish in and let the trigger be in the refugium at least 2 - 3 days (That i've tried but not yet try 1 week). 3. After 2 - 3 days add the trigger in... then in this manner the trigger is now the "new fish" and will no harress those "old birds" in the tank
  7. Hmm... for this i just see them as if the fish is bigger than them, they will not harress it.
  8. no prob, actually my trigger co-habit with other fish quite well, instead my algae blenny is attacking my clown trigger until now it's hiding and only comes out to eat when i'm feeding "henry's gourmet". Only thing is the common trigger. bery aggrasive towards new fish. Then the black damsel at first was not attacking the fire goby but after seeing the common trigger attacking it, both black damsel join in the fight
  9. Any comments are most welcome. Always learning, Always thinking.

  13. oh ... well... my clown trigger has fully recovered from the incident. I think it's way too greedy, everytime a feed henry's gourmet, it takes almost half of it, leaving otherfish to eat the crumbs floating around. Thanks guys. thanks for the help. Really appreciate it.
  14. Hi guys, i went home yesterday and found out my clown trigger has a very bloated stomach. I tried feeding with henry gourmet and it's still eating... but after a while it went into the rocks and hid inside.... become very in-active. also my cleaner has been picking on its butt often and it seems to be very motionless, only few time in a day will see it swimming.
  15. ur skimmer is a piece of quality equipment.... "kopi-O KAO"... thank you
  16. Thanks for the advise but currently it takes very long to cool 1deg. FOr that i timed it takes 45-1hr to cool 1 deg... to me it is really long ....
  17. nwyk, I'm having a blue tang and powder blue tang both are ich magnet. For my blue tang, it got covered with ich 1 week after intro to the tank but it heal by itself in 2weeks time and now ... swimming strong and FAT. My powder blue, got ich after 3 days and now after 1 1/2 week, it's recovering but still shy. To me let it be in the tank and try not catch it out and treat it as i might worsen the case and sending RIP faster. As long as the fish is eating it's alright. All the best bro My opinion, your call.
  18. wow barnacle, that's high... you might wan to search arounf the web... i think it's not a recommended healty range of yours. I'm getting 65 ppm on my tap water. Below are some of the findings that i got reference from http://www.waterfiltersonline.com/tds-sources.asp ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ideal Drinking water from reverse osmosis, distillation, deionization, microfiltration, etc.. 0-50 PPM ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Often considered acceptable range for carbon filtration, mountain springs or aquifers 50-140 PPM ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Average tap water. 140-400 PPM ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hard water. 170 PPM or above ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Less desirable 200-300 PPM ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Unpleasant levels from tap water, aquifers or mountain springs. 300-500 PPM ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The EPA's maximum contamination level. 500 PPM --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  19. chongk, may i know how long have you been using the RO ??
  20. hmm... according to my 2nd hand 6 stage RO/DI i have use it for 6 months (Previous owner used it for 3 month) constantly for drinking and replenishing water in tank my readings is still 0ppm. From the website that i have search, owners are required to change once it hits 15 - 20ppm.
  21. Hi guys, I'm facing a problem that i think might be due to the age of my chiller. PacCoo 3/4hp Chiller running on 3.8ft x 2.5ft x 2.5ft tank Last service was around 6-9mths ago Description: When chiller not kicked yet it shows as 28 (Chiller theremostat) but when kicked in (less than 1min) it shows 27.2 (rough estimation). Then it cools to the set temp @ 25 deg. But once it hits 25 deg and stop (Ard 1min) it shows the temp to be 26.2-6 (rough estimation) deg. So in order to cool to 26deg i have to set me chiller temp to cool till 25 deg. I need advise on the chiller, whether it needs some servicing on the refrigerent or change a theremostat. Any helpful advice would be appreciated Regards, Jason

    Sump Design

Some sugesstion. Understand that there will be detritus build up in this design but this design really helps in reducing microbubbles as there float up almost immediatly after going into the last chamber.

    Sump Design

Piero. I have come comments on your sump design. As for the last compartment (Refugium) to the return pump (2 x 1 inch piping). Personally i think there will be water gushing down to the bottom of the sump thus creating alot of air bubbles, in this manner your return will be taking in quite a fair bit of microbubbles into the main tank. You might wan to discuss with IAN about it. Cos for me i had this problem and has to place thise meshed bio filters to reduce the microbubbles. My Humble opinion. Jason
  24. Maybe you can give Janet (Aquamarin) a call to see if she have any spareparts for these as she carries Reef Octopus skimmer. No harm asking, the pretty lady is always friendly and helpful. Cheers
  25. Dun mention it. Nice seeing you getting your tank done up
