  1. Aren't you afraid of catching his fleas ?
  2. Oh yes, I substituted Woolly for PhewPhew in another thread
  3. Woolly, If it miraculously managed to survive the copper.
  4. 6mm is fine. I use that exact same setup. See http://aquakeeper.com/nano_setup.htm You don't need a DSB! A small monthly water change will do it more neatly and nicely than a dsb for your tank. Approximate amt of salt is written on the bags/boxes. get a good brand like Tropic Marin/Instant Ocean/Kent Marine. They cause less problems than cheap brands. And when you mix saltwater, mix it for at least 6 hours with a powerhead or invertebrates and maybe fish will suffer when the slightly corrosive water is added to a tank (the chemicals in the salt have not fully dissolved) Light? If you have even the most basic corals/anemones, at least 2-3 fluorescents. If just fish, none.
  5. Pac Marine is in Lorong Halus (Pasir Ris) One of the farms. Reborn got some tube anemones but only light purple and looks like it will grow very large. Not very nice and they pack a powerful sting.
  6. There are a few more common ones; Ricordea yuma Actinodiscus sp. (Quite smooth top) Rhodactis sp. Do Not overdose iodine. It can wipe out your tank. Only dose regularly if you have many corals with higher iodine need like Xenia and most soft corals/mushrooms and put only half manufacturer's dosage if you are not testing with an iodine kit.
  7. Scraping, chewing and scratching coralline releases many tiny coralline fragments and spores in the water which settle elsewhere. So the urchins can be said to spread coralline because they eat messily.
  8. Technically, a sea hare is not a nudibranch. But nudibranchs and sea hares are all ophistobranchs, Check out www.seaslugforum.net .
  9. Dear PhewPhew, I believe it is in the $20-$30 range. If it gets higher than that you are getting conned.
  10. Do you have corals and do you watch them at night?
  11. Seachem Cuprisorb is rather expensive but you don't need a lot of it and i've heard that it works wonders for removing copper. Do at least use a product to remove copper. 90% chance it will affect future invertebrates.
  12. Probably Saron sp. like someone else said. Also known as Monkey shrimp. Phewbacca, in your other thread you said you added copper. Has the shrimp died?
  13. If it comforts you, coralline attaches readily to plastic
  14. PL actinics are violet-purple. Not as nice as the blue fluorescent bulbs IMO/E.
  15. Did you put cuttlefish to motivate people to post more to stop being blur as sotong?!
  16. It gets boring after trevally. How about after we reach a certain high number of posts, say 1500 we get to choose what we want by placing orders with you? Then maybe we can change our ranks after reaching a certain level higher if we get tired of the old ones?
  17. One of the airport tanks have big coral chips. But if they would allow me to take the sand I wouldn't just stop at that
  18. Thought you said you were changing to an FO tank in some other thread? Anyway, now SRC has a nudibranch rank. Cool!
  19. If you touch some stinging corals.
  20. Butterflies can be cheap but some only eat coral and angels can be territorial so be careful when selecting fishes.
  21. Cool! But let other people test first hehe.
