  1. SGD30 for 15cm worth of Ochotdes attached to liverock. Harvested from my macroalgae tank, self collect in Clementi only.
  2. Happy New Year everyone! Here is a quick status of the tank as of Jan 2018. Lost lots of Ochtodes too due to failed experiment in 're-planting' them. Will continue the experiment again when they're in bigger mass. Lost all the greens too due to hungry fishes, these are planted only today and not expecting them to last. Fortunately, the backup greens grow fast in the refugium.
  3. Ahh, the fishes are doing well, really well infact. They have also eaten all the green macros in the tank Luckily i keep spares in the refugium. Lost lots of Ochtodes too due to failed experiment in gluing them to frag plug. Giving them a break now. Whats your PO4 and NO3 like? and what sort of filter system are you running?
  4. Finally a better photo of the elusive starry blenny. Have a great weekends everyone
  5. Mine is only 18W LED, doesnt generate that much heat Thanks bro Sometimes have to dose more for caulerpa to outgrow the hair algae. I'm not too sure how to get the formula right too. I'm dosing the following and the macros are outgrowing the pest algae
  6. Oh yes they do! those greens dont stay for long in the display, i grow them in bulk in the sump just to feed the tang
  7. high flow rate! The wavemaker is instrumental for the current status of my tank. I think they're just like corals too and high flow makes the slim or other lower form of algae harder to stick onto the macro. Traceable NO3! Cannot imagine NO3 near zero. The macros will start 'whitening' at near zero NO3. I have been dosing NO3 infact, but this is really an unique case I am also running a sump with plant grow LED light of 18w on 24/7 cycle and the greens grow really well there
  8. Photos of the tank inhabitants taken early in the morning before feeding time when the fishes are most active and visible. One of the mandarin pair hunting for pods in the macros forest Added an Koran Angelfish recently The most elusive fish to photography, the starry blenny
  9. Its no more available, sold something in May already. Please look for alternative
  10. Half the tank is in direct sun right now, super sunny day, great for the macros. And the water temperature is at 32 degreeC now
  11. Thank you! No chiller, infact the tank is at the balcony and they get exposure to direct sun in certain hours of the day. Soon!
  12. Thank you for your kind words ! It is really hard to find someone who appreciates macro/seaweed aquarium I am also planning to sell the Ochtodes soon
  13. Oct updates, gotten some more new greens from FreshNMarine
  14. not really reactor, they're in the sump with 24/7 light as filter, also in the main tank for display
  15. lol why are you doing that? my macroalgaes r bulk of the consumers, otherwise they will 'fade away'
  16. ok am i the only one who is deliberately dosing NO3 into the tank? i've been struggling to keep the nutrient on a 'healthy' level. i think i need more livestocks!
  17. Here are whats new since June. Added quite a number of Cerith snails and also a Starry blenny The full tank shot in July And the full tank shot in September (All the fishes are still alive, they went into hiding!!) Transplanted lots of macros and mini sea-fan from the over-flow And lots of inverts (fanworms, fireworm, pods, mini-stars) 'recovered' when I was cleaning up the sump. Almost discarded them if I did not inspect the overgrown macros carefully. The main tank is still largely lighted by natural sunlight while the sump is on 24/7 plant light. Here's the kind of view the habitats in the tank get to enjoy.
  18. Look at how much the Ochtodes has recovered! woohooo
  19. Mostly MarineLife (when they were still around), Fresh N Marine and T95
  20. And 2-months from the last updates, the C.Prolifera and the purple Ochtodes have grown quite abit. The clownfish has also taken a liking for the C.Prolifera next to its nest (the glass bottle). It likes to stay motionless in that patch of C.Prolifera as if it is an anemone No idea why some of the Ochtodes are 'browning' though
  21. Pump is in good working condition. Also, only left 3 out of the 4 rubber stands at the bottom of the skimmer's base. Hence dropping the price to SGD180
