  1. Thanks Joe_P Looking forward to view your wonderful tank. Hope won't disturb you and your family.
  2. Hi Fuel, Have you added another tube of T5? It is seems that your 3 T5 can't really color up your SPS.
  3. Thanks guys for your advices! Will start searching around good lobang for lighting
  4. Hi, all SPS reefers, I have run my 2ft tank + 2 ft sump for more than 2 years. water parameter is stable and the DSB is matured. I am plan to convert it into SPS tank. With 5 inches DSB, the water level is less than 12 inches depth and the SPS will be placed on the rock which is less than 8 inches from the light. I am running Resun chiller (CL-280) which can only keep the water temp around 27.5C at hot weather. Which on of the following light is more suitable to keep the colour of the SPS? 1) Add a 150W 10,000K MH supplement with my existing 36W blue/white PL and 15W actinic blue FL. OR 2) Add 4 AquaZ T5 supplement with my existing 36W blue/white PL and 15W actinic blue FL? Here are some criteria for me to decide: 1) Is AquaZ T5 same bright as ATI T5? 2) Is 4 T5 produce less heat than 1 150W MH? 3) I like the ripple effect created by single point MH but hate the heat produced by MH. 4) Prices between 150w MH set and 4 T5 set. Seek for your advice Thanks and Best regards Jun Hong
  5. I do encounter slight different of salinity between tank(1.0225) and sump(1.0230) but yours reading is so much different?? Maybe it is due to insufficient return flow rate and salt is heavier so it tends to settle down in the sump??

    Chillers

Who tell you CL650 is 650W? According to Resun, it is 1/4 hp only.
  7. I think he means Aquaz T5 and not other brand T5. Don't think EAN carry Aquaz T5
  8. Is the Supreme blend which have Nanno, Pavlova, Thalassiosira and Tetraselmis available in local LFS already?
  9. You guys please read his first post carefully. He wrote his has kept the crown fish for 4 days NOT his tank is cycled for 4 days.
  10. If you clean the already stuck rotating head, will it rotate again?
  11. You must consider the type, size and weight of the fish too.
  12. I am using Ocean free 5000 for my return pump. 2300L/h at 30w only, can put water up to 3.8m. Much cheaper than Eheim, Ceramic shaft somemore
  13. Wish to explore the beauty of the ocean. So would like to check who has these documentary series? Is it possible to lend it to me?
  14. New batch of Resun chillers are quite quiet during the compressor is running. However, you still can hear the cut in/cut off sound of the compressor but the sound is only last for 1 second.
  15. Do you meant that the yelllow sea squirt shown in the photo that you attached here is the same purple one shown in the photo you posted previously (in the member tanks specs)???
  16. Hi, Fuel, You have posted picture of your purple color sea squirt last time! Are they feeding well? I also notice the sea squirt forms a thin transparent coating? Is it normal? Last time you have mentioned you are trying to help it to remove its coating, have you done so?
  17. I just bought a color seasquirt similar to the photo shown in SeaSquirt Thinking of target feed it with live plankton so wish to know which of its two openings is for intake and which is for exhaust? Any reefer has able to keep this interesting creature thrive in their tank?
  18. Is it ceramic shaft? FYI, I bought ceramic shaft for Ehiem canister to replace the broken shaft of my Mr. Aqua pump, it works well! You may consider trying Eheim parts since it is easily available locally.
  19. You may consider get Biophos II from PR. It works to remove phosphate too!
  20. Are u intend to turn the right hand side of your tank into a planted tank? The marco aglae on the rock are fast growing and you face problem havesting them in future!
  21. It is not well fed! Do you provide Plankton for it?
  22. The water will suffer head lost it flow through the coil of the chiller. I am using 2300l/h return pump for chiller but I still feel it is not strong enough. So may be you may consider higher flow rate pump
