I promised to pay some admin. fee if you can help. reeftech quoted US $50 for it w/o pump and I check out the llittle giant pump cost another us$50 --total Us$100 bucks before adding the freight cost which could be easily another us$50 bucks. thanks ! Hi all, can someone share with me the effect of different salinity value. 1.020, 021 22 23 24 or 25 ? I noticed queen angel, king anel , french seems to be more active with higher salnity valus and coral seems to do well in low salinity value .

I have a 6 feet x 2.5 ft tank with lots of corals (overcrowded in fact) . My personal experience is that shrimps and small crabs are important as they eat the dead fish or food that is left over by the fish. and some shrimps eat the parasite of the fish! I used to throw in about a dozen of shrimps (boxer , harlequin etc ) when I cycle the tank. most of them are still there! rdgs

Hi Friend, don't waste your money investing in these unit. Tap water in Singapore do not need such gadget. If I were you, rather than spending 500-800 to buy a reasonable RO/DI unit, I would pay 100 bucks to get someone to top up the tank with natural sea water. first of all, it can cycle your tank faster, and they are much cheaper as compare to synthetic salts ! I have been using natural sea water and many tank parameters are stable. nitrate , phosphate are undetectable. PH is good at 8.2-8.4

forget it. I remember I read somewhere it carry some kind of mucus that is poisonus and make your water quality bad.

Hi marine fish lover , I am tempting to buy blue ribbon eel, Achilles tang , rock beauty and Morish idol . I was told that it is a waste of money as they won't last . Waste of money and better keep it in the wild. Any one ever successful in keeping these fish? at least for 6 months? many thanks.

All marine fish fanatic: new shipment of Hawaii fish arrived at pacific marine. king angel, french angel, rock beauty, quenn angel, royal gamma etc arrived just in time on pay day.
