  1. Did you change water recently? I usually try to avoid water change if I see my shrimps molt...usually they are v sensitive to water changes during that period..
  2. Remember to peel off the sides before attempting to pry open the lid... Next time just ask the lfs to open for u lah...
  3. I think try to do what's the least stressful to it...I suppose your main tank should have better water quality n if it's happy in your main tank with not much aggression with the new PBT then it should recover pretty quickly...
  4. I think maybe you can just leave it in your main tank unless they are still fighting fiercely...with good quality water n less stress, it should recover pretty soon... My ring-tail tang got a deep cut just recently...I left it on its own n the cut healed in less than a week...
  5. Still available...nice & v healthy Feeding extremely well on henry's food, frozen mysis n brineshrimp... v tempted to keep him...but i don't think my ABT can dun kajiao him...so no choice... Interested pls pm me.. Piority given to those who can collect first...
  6. Got this male lyretail from marine life a few days ago...currently feeding on henry's food, frozen mysis n brineshrimp... Asking for $5 only cos that's the price I paid when it was on 'sale' Selling cos it gave my ABT 2 'love-bites' n I realised I've to give up 1 of them.. Dun get the wrong idea...my ABT is the aggressor, not the lyretail...my ABT kept on "ka jiao" him when I 1st put him in the qt when he was still hiding in the LR but end up it's the ABT who got bitten.. He's strong n healthy...but he dun look happy in my betta box so I hope to find him a nice owner soon..He's quite big for an anthias at slightly longer than 2" so I won't recommend anyone with a tank smaller than 3ft to get him.. Interested pls pm me your contact... Collection near Serangoon Garden... Piority to those who can collect today... Oh n one thing to note...my qt is on hypo n the salinity is about 1.012 so it might take u some effort to acclimatise it..
  7. Dun give up bro...keep trying! I also learn it the hard way...almost all my tangs got ich last time...some died on me but some others made it thru n when I look at them so healthy now, really feel that all the hardwork is worth it! So far wat really works for me is a combi of hypo n myxazin...I'll hypo them in my qt for a few weeks n dose the myxazin until the ich r completely gone...do note that u have to off ur skimmer n UV thru out the treatment...if u follow strictly the 12 hrs half dose treatment as instructed, myxazin really works wonders! Hope this helps...
  8. Juz called CF but they say they dun have AT...probably got snapped up already... but does this mean can get my AT once it's available?
  9. I've a dilemma here & really hope u guys can give me some guidance... I intend to get an AT for my new 4ft tank, which is about 1.5 mths old... Prob is I dunno whether I should get it now or much later when the tank is v matured... Reason why I want to get it now is cos I've this "not so friendly" 3.5" white-tailed/palani tang. It's currently in my previous 3ft tank..I've moved all the other fish to the 4ft tank but back when I've all my fishes still in the 3ft tank, it was "flashing" n nipping the tail of the kole eye tang I intro a mth ago...(the kole is slightly bigger in size initially) I'm worried that my new AT might not survive such aggression from the palani.. I tot maybe if I can intro the AT into my 4ft main tank b4 the palani, it might have a better chance of surviving since my other fish r v peaceful... Also, my palani grew incredibly fast ever since I intro the kole tang a mth ago.. (it's now bigger than the kole) n at this rate...by the time my tank becomes v matured...i may nid to get a really huge AT to match it!! My tank seems quite stable n I intend to get an AT that's pellet feeding...so my tot is it should be able to survive if I add it now...I'm more worried about the aggression it may face if I add it later... Pls correct me if I'm wrong..n pls I advice if should get it now or later? Thanks in advance!
  10. juz curious, possible to do the target feeding by keeping in a betta box for the 1st few days? Will it stress them? btw how many basslet can b kept in a 4 footer?
  11. Hi guys I need some advise on this, My tank crashed about a month ago, possibly due to white spots and the subsequent "nuke" effect after the death of my 2 boxfish, 1 of which i never find the body till after i rescape everything. I've since hypo my entire 3ft with my blue tang the only survivor from the crash. However during this 1 month I've also added another 4 tangs (2 inch), 3 pygmy angels, a clown fish, a damsel and a sleeper goby. The last addition was in fact just yesterday. I added the fishes during hypo hoping to rid the new fish of white spots as well. But I think that's about all my tank can hold so I should stop adding. Now my concern is since I can only hypo for a maximum of 8 weeks, but hypo needs at least 6 weeks to work, from this point in time how long more should I hypo? (Btw my liverock is in the hypo for most of the 4 weeks, thats my other worry ) Another problem is that I have an injured yellow angel who got a bite on the gill from my naughty rusty angel. It's been almost a week and it looks calm and still feeding, but the wound seems to be getting bigger. Is there anything I can do to save it?
  12. Haha...more like the fire clown harass the others now...it even invaded their territory (anemone) after I on the light...maybe it's just afraid of dark..i'll see what happens tonight after I off the lights...btw it's supposed to "sleep" inside the anemone right? actually the fire clown sometimes hid itself totally inside the bubble anemone (killer)...don't feel good about that...I'm afraid it may nv come out again...does anyone had bad experience with regards to this?
  13. I don't really know the name of that anemone...and I don't have my d-cam with me now...hmmm...it's abit light yellowish green in color and it's "things" are more round and bubbly than the other one I have... The ironic thing is that last night I bought one more anemone and 3 clownfish (2 common ones and one I think is fire-something clownfish) Immediately after I put them in they took their respective territory...i.e. the fire clown with the "killer" and the other 2 common clown with my new anemone...the fire clown seems to settle well with the "killer" last night but this morning i found it hidding at a corner of the tank...if my guess is correct once a clown settled with an anemone it shouldn't leave it to hid at a corner after I off all the lights right?? could the anemone have tried to eat it as well? should I remove it?
