This coral is under non-phytosyntesis corals. It need dim lighting with daily feeding,moderate flows and 26 temp. Together with clean water condition also. For so far, experts is unable to found what carnation coral actually do eating. Some depend on Live phyoplanktons and some depend on pods. Experts recommend that leave those non-phytosyntesis corals back into the sea. Hope it's help.

Macroalgae is very hard to keep under Fish Only Tank...

Please make sure that no algae growth on them and undetectable phosphate level.

hair algae = phosphate. Other than phosphate, high silicate and nitrate will promote algae growth. Solution : 1. Change water with RO/DI source. 2. Apply high quality(iron based) phosphate remover eg. Purephos, Rowa and etc. 3. To completely kill those hair algae, either cook ur LR or shutdown light completely for 1 week. Algae will died off due lack of foods. 4. Get algae eater such as Blue leg hermit crab, foxface, tang(to nip small tiny algae),sea urchin and other algae eater. 5. Increase water flow to prevent dead spot inside your tank so that algae will not attack those LR. 6. For future guarantee, you may apply Algone into your sump to absorb NO3 (efficient when ur current NO3 level <20ppm) and prevent other bad algae grow. Hope it's help. You can feed this shark 2 times per day.....each time 2 or 3 fishy.....you can use goldfish (sorry for goldfish lover) or any other bigger size fish to feed it, but be make sure that those fishy must be in slow movement(can't swim fast) cause if you feed your shark with Koi fishy, i can bet your shark will hammer your tank while chasing them. And this incident will cause injury on the shark nose. Temp around 25 Celcius and sufficient lighting(skin vitamins) will perform a good health of your fish. And becareful of your nitrate, it's can be easily of level up. Note * For smaller size of shark, you need to train them in food feeding since it's teeth is small and tiny. For size like 1.5, becareful a bit. Their teeth can cut your pump electrical wyre away.
