  1. Thanks terryansimon for helping me to clarify. Having an anemone in the tank seems to be a good idea but I do not have the sufficient lighting power to sustain it.
  2. Hi, My Percula Clown Pair have been fighting for weeks. I thought that they will stop fighting after a while. Weeks have past and they are still fighting! The male's top fin had been biten off by the female! I only have that pair in my 2ft tank setup. Should I introduce another fish in order to distract them so that they will stop fighting? I am actually thinking of introducing a Clarkii. Any suggestions?

  4. I intend to keep the LRs in a pail filled with a bit of existing tank water and place a pail cover over it to prevent the heat from going in. Will placing the pail at the passenger seat. Lets hope that the heat doesn't get too intense.
  5. Dimensions I'm not too sure. It's a 2ft tank by Nisso.. the one with deep depth. Alright.. I'll try looking around. Thanks.
  6. Yeah.. but the problem is I don't know how much sand I should prepare. And my new tank's not ready yet
  7. Currently I am not using DSB. But I intend to do that after I've switched to the other tank which has deeper depth. It has been up for about 2 months already. Don't let the LRs die? Will it die if it's taken out from water for about 1hr? I know it should not be exposed to sunlight. 1hr, considering the time taken to to travel there, prepare the sand and etc..
  8. Agree with SharkBait. Weipro skimmers are affordable and skims out kopi-o.
  9. Hi, I might be moving house some time soon.. and I will be switching over to a 2ft tank with deeper depth. During this time, I will be keeping my existing tank water into 25L jerry cans and also will be switching the live rocks, filter, skimmer and everything from the existing tank to the new tank. Transportation to my new house will take about 5-10mins. I was wondering whether will there be another short/long cycling process that will greatly affect my fishes? If yes, I hope there are some kind soul out there who would offer some of their tank space for my mated pair of Percula Clown fishes Other LS in my tank: 4 Trochus Snails Thanks
  10. You're lucky that all you need to do is to adjust the valve to solve the problem. I adjusted my valve to the minimal flow and it's just overflowing! Now I even have to cover my air inlet to prevent it from overflowing. So which anti chlorine product will prevent the skimmer to foam so much? Tetra Aquasafe?
  11. Take TPE and exit to Lor Halus if you are driving. That place is rather inaccessible, so I suggest you better take a taxi in if you are not driving.
  12. Haha.. you're lucky then. Mine is overflowing like mad.. I have to cover my air inlet in order for it not to overflow.
  13. Hi fellow reefers, I just found out that the cause of my overflowing protein skimmer is caused by my Nutrafin anti chlorine solution. Today, I mixed my anti chlorine solution with water to top up the evaporated water. Shortly after within seconds, I realised that my skimmer is overflowing. I guess I'll have to wait for another couple of days before the skimmer gets back to work. Just an experience to share. If any of you guys are experiencing overflowing skimmers, this could be one of the reason why. Perhaps a big tank would not be very much affected (FYI, I'm only using a 2ft tank.)
  14. That will really depend on what LS you have in your tank. Perhaps you can be more specific so that fellow reefers here will be able to assist you better.
