  1. Hi, I acquired my first starfish (Fromia nodosa) 1.5 months ago. Two weeks after acquiring it, the tip of all it's legs started turning white. They look as though it's being covered with whitish stuff. I wonder what could be wrong and whether anything can be done to prevent it from spreading. However, it is still active and moving about.
  2. Hi fellow reefers Would like to find out how do you all monitor your tank while away for a few days. let's say you don't not have anyone at home to monitor the tank for you, do you have any remote monitoring system that alerts you when say, the chiller is down, etc...?? if you have such kind of system, would appreciate if you could share it cause' i'll be away for a week during CNY and there won't be anyone home. thanks in advance
  3. I did a water change yesterday, but they are still on hunger strike. I doubt it is the water parameter issue since my other fishes had no problem. Every other fish are eating fine and even the corals seems OK, all except the maroon couple.
  4. Hi I just relocated my livestocks from KL last Sunday. My maroon clown couple used to have a BTA (which split into 3) in the previous tank and have even spawned numerous times. Due to logistic issues, I did not relocate the BTA and eggs which are attached to a big piece of rock. Now, it has been 5 days and my maroon couple has refused to eat. The food will just flow right in front of them and they would just ignore it. I am hoping that getting a BTA would help to reduce some of their stress and get them to eat again. Has anyone seen any nice BTA around? Preferably not a green one. Thanks a lot.
  5. Hi I'm new to this forum but from what i have read, anemone will split when under stress and/or when reproducing. i bought a BTA a year ago and they have since split to three but they all stay close to each other.
