  1. 20L is definitely harder to maintain if compared to a 200L tank. It is still possible to maintain a 20L tank, but you will need to watch your water parameters very closely as it tend to fluctuate more due to the smaller water volume. It will be better that you start with a bigger tank.
  2. If say for very serious cases, another alternative that I can think of is to remove all your corals to a temporary tank for 2 weeks. Then black out the main tank with the fishes inside (Just turn on blue light for them - they don't need strong lights anyway). Shift your main lightings to the temporary tank where the corals are for the time being. The above mentioned is only meant for short term solution. Keeping bioload low, as what the other reefers have mentioned earlier, is still the best way to go.
  3. not enuff for your tank. better go for at least a 1/2 hp one.
  4. Really up to personal preferences. I stuff mine with biohome, rowaphos, chemi-oure & filter wool.
  5. I am using the same model for my 2.5 ft fowler tank. The flow rate (950 ltr/hr) is adjustable - I dun see why you can't use it for your 2 footer. Cheers
  6. I've got pulled into this "old dudes" category too ..haha. Happy Birthday!
  7. "OMG! why am I still day-dreaming!! luckily it's not real - I hate hairy stuff anyway." he retorted. As he gets back to his work, his lady boss came and ..

  9. boxing shrimps occasionally do cleaning but they are too aggressive to be mixed with any other type of shrimps.
  10. and they found out that the clownfishes came from China...
  11. and to his dismay he heard handphone ringing tones coming out of his stomach...
  12. ... can I have it medium rare, please? says the bristleworm...
  13. IMO should be enough (coz my fowlr almost same dimension like yours). If you wanna play safe than go for 8-10mm of glass.
  14. The difference is the heat! PL is much hotter than T5, hence adding more work to your chiller.
  15. that's the 25 litres type. where do you stay Razo?
  16. Hi Bro, I am currently using the 36 watt type, but do not have pics of it. Not very sure whether Coralife is offering the 55 watt type, thus if you let me choose I will definitely go for the Matrix PL which is 2 x 55 watts.
  17. I'm using one ... I find it slightly brighter than the normal PLs of the same wattage. price wise is roughly double of that of normal PLs. .. you decide loh.
  18. I'm in for Arctica! Currently using the 1/10hp model for my 2x1.5x1.5, and it has been working well for the last 6 months. I have no regrets buying this chiller.
