Guys, they are glass shrimps. Marine shrimps. These are not FW species. If you keep them long enough, you will get to see their colour in the later stage. Its more like dark spots ranging from dark blue to black. The biggest I've kept is about 1.5 inch. The eggs are good for your little fish. If small enough, all my fish will eat. Many tend to die from trying to escape by jumping out of the water. They are hardy and good scavengers. FOC cleaners IMO. Thats why they are my fav. but lifespan not very long. Maybe its my water conditions. Shrimps tend to be the 1st to up lorry when water has prob. Threw a few into my main tank but don't expect high survival rate. Everything is pecking at them.... Jervismun, U wanna start a crab tank? (fish are very dull) Very nice colours like mangrove crabs, fiddlers and moon can be found at our shoreline. Refer to my main tank thread front pages for pics.

Tank crash. Everything wipe out. Left corals only. Today just added some shrimps & 1 goby from beach.

Heh heh. 1 of the 3 gobies in my nanocube. Must tax a bit mah since i bring U go. Now my nano also have goby liao. Took the smallest of the 3 so don't say i bully her ah. After photo taking cannot find liao. Good weather.

I was really heart broken when I could train my mandarin to feed on frozen. Died.... as a result. Really looking forward to the day where my tank can sustain a mated pair. Monki, Don't get discouraged. Gobies are 1 of the nicest fishes. They are suitable for small tanks. They are colourful & peaceful. They love to sit on the SB, LR or in the case of yellow gobies - SPS. Some can stick on the glass like sucker fish. (those from the beach especially) They can share burrows with piston shrimps. (aren't they unique) Some like signal gobies can help clean SB too. Well, if you wanna give other types of fish a try, I suggest cardinals loh. U like those mangrove cardinals but not in season recently leh. They school and are pretty small which is ideal for your NC.

Hi, been a while. Hows the reef-resh ??? Your CA level how ??? (stable a not) Referring to your latest tank shot. Its looks empty. Up close you can see lots of stuff but on the whole maybe due to the lighting .... like not much corals & too blue in colour. I can only see your zoos & anemone, The GSP, mushies & LSP are not obvious. I suggest more 10/20 KK white lights or more reds & greens corals.... A red+green prata on the SB would be nice too! Are the sea fans ok? Looks bald .... Love the zoos, clam and maroon. (oh yah, the equipments & additives too)

CKS, Cool, see that you still have your training wheels on. Is that a T-rex ? I was in & out of the hobby fast.... (T-rex CCPM w/ optic 6) Just couldn't sustain it. ($$$) I still have a IFO (R/C kite) at home which is more like a static display nowadays.... (filght time less than 5hrs....) Have fun guys !!! (to newbies - think hard b4 buying. VERY EXPENSIVE)

Where did U get these ? I need these man. Will get for monki also. The surface skimmer working for you? I suspect that stock 300l/h is not strong enough to hold it in place. (for my case anyway....) The pump outlet also splashes water at the level for the surface skimmer to work. U have answered 1 of my biggest prob man !!!

Don't overdo with the turbo.... If the tank doesn't have enuff algae, they will die....

Purple darts are quite hardy. I rescape with fish still in tank also no prob. I believe the prob is your water.... Just my S$0.02/-.

Skimmer ? Return pump ? Ur sump got partition wan ? Maybe some miricle mud or marcro algae ? (chaeto or ulva more safe) If got algae then dun forget lights. If ur fish like pods, then maybe U can put some LR in sump to cultivate some. They will follow the return pump to main tank so no need specially think of way to get them there.

Everything looks great. Your DIY skills are there man! Love the wiring. Very professionally done. The holding tank looks like a treasure chest. Your son start to go near your tank ah? Soon U can start to teach him change water liao. The "cheapo overflow drain pipe" looks so nice. Is it easy to DIY ??? I still have a spare 1.5ft under my 2 ft tank.... Hmmm.... convert to sump???

Super sun dying also.... Moved my S$20/- zoos (dark red with green mouth) to main tank together with super sun. Don't know whats the cause. Golden maroon also look sian sian. (cannot tong much longer) May have to shift them to the main tank tonight. F*** lah. Wait fight with my nemo pair .... Very sian. Big tank much more stable.... More space to place equipment too. Bro colinsoon, The skimmer working really hard for me. (main tank) But abit leaky. I need to put more white tape when I next clean it. !!!

Temp is fine about 27.0. Cannot be electrical leak or I should be fried by now....

The Zoos were fine till my tank start to crash. Now they are all extended. Not nice. Does this mean my lights are lacking? If yes then may have to change back to stock lights. Yup, my suns are not open yet.... Almost but still haven't open yet ....

Xenia, new, pulsing rate decreased after a day in the tank. Still no idea wats wrong with my tank.... Did the universal remedy - water change. Cleaned the filter media too. Test for ANN b4 the water change is OK. Total lost is for the nano from start to now is: 2 monkey shrimp 1 cleaner 1 bumble bee 1 electric blue hermit 2 cardinal 1 RG
