weipro can be hang-on the tank or place in/out of the sump. i just got myself 2013 + weipro pump (2500l/hr) this afternoon. quite impress by its performance. i got a Remora Pro for my 3 ft and this 2013 is for my 2ft. although weipro cannot compare with Remora, but its really value for $$. 2013 selling at $78 and the pump is only $38

The Red Flame Scallop, also called the Flame Scallop or Red File Shell Clam, has a bright red mantel with red or white tentacles. The shell of the various Flame Scallops is covered with fine bumps, making it feel like a file.
The Red Flame Scallop builds a small nest of small rocks and pieces of coral in which it embeds itself. In an aquarium, this may not offer much protection. When threatened, it may escape by clapping its valves together, propelling it through the water, with assistance from its tentacles. It tolerates all animals that do not try to eat it, and can be kept in groups. It is a filter feeder, and requires floating micro-plankton to be kept alive in the aquarium, and will do best in a mature reef aquarium system. It also needs proper calcium levels and alkalinity. It does not tolerate nitrates or copper-based medications.
It requires supplementation with phytoplankton, and organic foods (Marine Snow or Selcon) provided by using a small pipette/straw to dispense the food upstream of its location. Each Red Flame Scallop needs to be fed individually.

wat do flame scallop food on?
anyone notice that some doctor fish is brown on their head while some is yellow .
i also remember that there is a type of fish which look exactly like doctor fish but its not.
Common Name: Flame Scallop
Natural Environment: Shallow water environments embedded among stones/rocks and coral blocks
General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 70 to 78°F (21 - 25°C). It is mentioned here because it persists to be available in most stores. It has the ability to swim by opening and closing its shells and expelling water from its internal cavity like a jet engine expels air. They also have a row of tiny eye spots around the edge of the mantle similar to the Tridacna clam, which helps them escape predators by jetting away. Flame scallops are pretty, yet do not usually last much longer than six months in captivity. They also like to flit here-and-there, sometimes knocking things over. Products like American Marine Selcon or Marc Weiss Combo-Vital may help extend their stay in our aquariums.
