Lee, seems like u wanna keep everything... seahorses,SPS, u happen to remember that ur tank is only 1 mth old? seahorses are picky eaters n much time & $ has to be spent on to get them to start eating in captivity. even so it does not guarantee that they won't die. SPS - need i say more when u dun even wanna spent on(or cannot afford) testkits?

wats the use of saving up ur $$ and buying those nice expensice fishes,corals when u r not even sure if ur water parameters are ready for them. not trying to be sacarstic, but this is one expensive hobby. some things u can try to save on, some u simply cannot.

how do u intend to make a chiller from a used fridge? is it going to be cost effective in the long run? u might save a few hundreds of dollars upfront but end up paying tens of dollars in eletricity bills every month. Y not try looking ard for a second hand chiller. just my 2 cents worth.

2)filter netting bag - those kind u pour and put ur activated carbon, coral chips... etc... This can be found in many shops, they are those bags which u put in clothes that are meant for gentler wash, meant for the washing machine. Daiso @ IMM has them @ $2. Hope wat im saying is actually wat u r referring to.
