  1. bro.. have you considered non all in one tank that you can include a sump? A sump really is another tank which is normally placed below the display tank to allow more space for filtration and equipements such as skimmer and return pumps..
  2. it depends on what corals you want to keep.. you can also have a tank with corals which does not require any light at all thus what lighting you use doesnt matter
  3. thanks bro.. they from the same batch we got? need to frag??
  4. yup... looking for easy corals to start off first.. equiptment all still up and running well.. with one fish.. selfding!
  5. i know someone who is intending to sell off his tank at a low price.. all you need to do is buy equiptments...
  6. basket.. just read this and the first post i read kana ding liao... keep it going bro..
  7. cant do sps but can do some zoas.. this wkend on?? 5ive... hmmm.. where?!
  8. i do not recommend plug and play as the name implies, you have very limited options if there are things you do not like.. i have a 24G and it does works if you are always on the ball doing water change and all.. do note that you can fit a tunze 9002 skimmer in there but it is still not sufficient IMHO.. Let me list the limitations of a plug and play system: 1. Almost everything is stock and would not be good enough.. 2. to counter point 1, you need to modify.. plug and play systems leaves very little space for modification 3. Limited fishes and corals.. you need to get small fishes and small frags 4. weekly 10% water change and clearing of your wool fortnightly.. 5. a small swing in parameter in a 3ft is a huge swing in a nano that being said i had a great experience with my 24G and i managed to keep it well maintained till i went to NY for 6 wks and all went downhill.. still in the process of slowly restarting.. i wouldnt recommend nano for starters.. but somehow most people start with nano first dont they?
  9. eh... got small frags let me know.. i'm trying to kick start my interest again.. LOL
  10. i thot it was 4our? how come now 5ive??
  11. wow.. that's far.. thanks bro.. i need it urgently as my current impeller bloated up already..

  14. wow.. this is a thread to watch!!
  15. you got it bro.. take all the time you want.. dun buy on impulse.. else next time no more $$ to buy the stuff that you really really want.. haha
  16. makes me wonder while looking at this thread.. should i.. or should i not..?
  17. careful with switching on and off the chiller.. dun think its good for the chiller.. yup nano tank has lotsa limitations... but this gives you a chance to keep nano fishes too.. fishes that will go missing in big tanks.. =]
  18. bro.. think you should hold on the lifestock first.. a tank like ours should got go above 6 small fishes.. now that you have a poop machine in there already, its better not to overstock.. some corals if put too closely will kill each other for space.. bubble is one of them.. be sure to give it ample space! ever considered zoas? mushrooms? supersuns?
  19. cube mini for the sump.. much better filtration.. gives you more space to play around..
