  1. Scarab, I am trying to 'grow' lots and lots of bonsai and have acres and acres of them. Lightningstrike I have not settled on the size of my new setup although now contemplating between a 3x2.5x2 and a 4x2.5x2. Dispar, We all know where it came from right? Anyway i hope to grow lots of it in future. Deepblue, thanks. You have a cool tank developing yourself I am watching your progress very closely as i liked your previous setup too. Continue with the updates.
  2. Not exactly at this moment. All frags are meant to grow out for my larger tank. I am now painstakingly preparing some colonies to dominate my reef. Maybe in future. Thanks for interest.
  3. I am flattered but really not the best nano around. I have since learnt that there are many hidden dragons and crouching tigers in Singapore. The acro you are refering to is rather hard to capture in macro. My apologies. Perhaps another time.
  4. Bonsai fragged. Preparing for my new tank. I plan to have mounds full of bonsai.
  5. Pink pocci, blue stag and a bali slimer
  6. Lots and lots of room I definitely see the potential of a full fledge SPS tank. Keep us updated of the progress. I am expecting you at all SPS shipments from now on
  7. Well i knew ... thats why i waited. LCK will have lots more. They have been selling Blastos of great quality since more than 2 yrs ago when i started reefing. Same goes for Rics and yumas..
  8. I'll say for blastos and yumas....LCK is the place to go. they have maintained their very reasonable pricing despite the demand. My respects!
  9. You have some very nice rock work going there. Definitely lots of potential with the 250watter. Is that staghorn already encrusted on the front glass? Looks like it is. Cool idea if it is deliberate
  10. Dragongoby, That is actually a pink birds nest. Now slowly coloring up to a stunning pink.
  11. I like the last shot of your pink bird nest and other SPS in subdued lighting. Very Nice!
  12. Remember i told you to set up a Ric specimen tank? You can surely see the potential from that picture. Go for it ... ask permission from chairman Fabulous tank and pics... I have a fan blowing at top speed while looking at your pics. ( simulation of your house) Keep the pics coming! I want to know of every single addition or growth that is taking place in your tank.
  13. You do? Me too! Very nice indeed!
  14. Lime green cap was from a reefer. You would know who if you had been observing the forum I almost killed it when my 150w MH burned a hole in the center. Fortunately it has recovered and grown. Otherwise i ought to be shot Has since replaced the MH with 6x 24w T5
  15. correction. Tunze 6000. One tunze is more than enough current for my tank. I strongly recommend to even 2 footers. Cuts out the need to plant powerheads all over the tank.
  16. Tank size: 30Gal Partition to build a Visual 1.5 cube with excess as sump. Equipment: -Tunze 6000 on 7091 controller 50% and 100% pulse at 5 seconds interval -Squid with 1500l/hr powerhead for return -Prizm skimmer Lighting : 2sets 0f 3x24w T5 (retrofit by Dr. Evil) 2x20k, 2x10k, 2xactinic blue As i have requested for 2 power cords on each light set. I can stagger the lighting hours. Total light hours is 10. Cooling : 1x AC fan and air con at night temp not higher than 28.3 degrees ( There is no need for chiller with T5 as long as you don't mind the noise from the fan) Maintenance: -Water change of 30% every fortnight. Tropic marine salt only. -Water change of 50% every 4th change. -Top up water with calcium buffer and KH builder on alternate evenings. - clean skimmer every fortnight. Parameters : -calcium at 400-450 ppm - Kh at 9-10 dkh - I sometimes observe my coraline algae for signs of deficiency in calcium and KH - 1.024 sv gravity - others not measured Other additives - FORM by Marc Weiss but i think this product is crap and i am using it only because i bought it. - iodide by seachem - strontium by seachem Other inhabitant- yellow zebrasome - amber blenny - 3 astrea snails - 1 big club dwarf hermit from Danano - 2 peppermint shrimps The 2 fish are self sufficient and stay fat primarily on algae found on life rock. I have not fed them for almost half a year.
  17. Coraline and unidentified blue coral
  18. Green Cateye (2 yrs old in my tank)
