  4. i tink u cant get a veri suitable color temp from those T4 tubes for marine purposes... the most u can get is blue (it's light blue not actinic) or a white light tube... perhaps usin it as a supplement is a way to increase brightness in a constraint area but using them as main lights i'm not too sure bout it...
  5. u need a strong pump for a weipro to create decent bubble count... i used sicce extrema and oso atman 105 on a weipro2012 last time

    vho endcap

i believe some of the lfs that carry arcadia products should carry the endcaps... it's not too rare... saw them in aqu*m*rt before...
  7. there r always special promotions during weekends, sat n sun.... tink u can go look look got any promotions tis weekend (new year promo) before makin up ur mind
  8. the fluctuation do u mean sudden increase in light intensity? 2 ways to go abt that, 1. if u hav onli a few corals, place them in shade n bottom, gradually moving them out after weeks 2. buy a hanging type MH... hang the MH higher, gradually bring down its height over time (maybe over 2 or 3 weeks) in this way, ur corals wont feel the impact of sudden increase in light intensity u r rite that u must employ a chiller if u decides to buy a MH... if i'm not wrong, u wanna put the chiller in ur balcony or stg like that? by laying 10+ ft hoses, u need to take note of somethings: 1. there r 2 hoses, 1 going to the chiller n 1 comin back 2. will the 2 hoses trip over somebody? 3. are the 2 hoses unsightly? 4. most importantly, u will need a veri strong pump that can drive water across the 10+ ft length... if flowrate is too low, ur chiller will not function to expectations
  9. try mysis shrimp with garlic juice... else can try henry's home made food at ML....
  10. some traits for id is the overall shape n the shell shape... for e.g. crocrea has a smoother shell surface than a maxima
  11. u r rite, it's a NO.... depends on wat u intend to keep... if wat u wanna keep needs high intensity then ur shallow depth wont help at all
  12. if u hardworkin, feed veri little in few times per day ( in nature, fishes has constant feed source) if not, feed marginal amout per day else if u r lazy u can always feed like once in 2 or 3 days i tink it boils down to feedin enuff but not in excess
  13. try the webbie below for the ids: http://www.clamsdirect.com/store/home.php get those that look exotic like those tear drop maximas... for its health... find those attached firmly to a rock and shuts up forcefully... tink another thing u gotta take note is whether u can bring them back a not... they r considered hard corals which needs CITES i tink...
  14. dun tink they will be cheap... icecap stuffs are reliable but ex.
  15. get a realli small GMC... the great difference in size will the newcomer noe that ur existing one is the more dominant clown... in this way, they will change into thier perspective male/female sexes.... if u wanna be on the safe side, use a transparent container those kind with suckers to put the newcomer in it.... give them time to suit n get used to each other... when u find that the frequency of the bigger one chiongin towards the smaller one ceases, u may try releasin the newcomer into the main stream.... or u can consider using another container/ other structure whereby the openin is big enuff for the newcomer to swim in n hide but too small for the existin one to reach the newcomer... once their relationship stabilises, the newcomer will automatically abandon the hideout then.... it is not 100% but at least it pays to be more careful
  16. went suntec in the evening... there was a pipe burst in the building... some minor flooding.... everyone was evacuated from that particular tower
