I bought from Ah-Beng @ Pasir Ris. One bag (around 10litres) costs $1.50. Its definitely cheaper and save lots of efforts as compared to mixing synthetic salt. But the NSW quality may not be clean as its direct from sea and can contain impurities.

Hi Got this 2.5ft tank (76 * 45.5 * 45.5 cm) and the wrought-iron stand. Total est. weight of the tank + sand + lr + fish + water would be 200kg. Would like to know if I need to put a piece of plywood + styrofoam to support the tank OR can I just put styrofoam below the tank? And does anyone know where can I find such plywood and how thick it should be? And also for styrofoam, what shd be the thickness? Searched those DIY stores (Homefix, Selfix) for the plywood but with no success. Thx.

Dear bros Got a single piece of live rock (spare) weighing at 7kg. Its good for scaping in a 3ft and beyond tank size. It has gaps in front and back to allow fishes to enter for resting/hiding. Stats: Length - 36cm Height - 21cm Width - 23 cm Weight - 7kg Bought @ $56 ($8/kg)... now selling at $30.

Think for the error message is something related to your Mysql database table ibf_topics which may have "crashed". Googled and found ppl also encountering this problem. And their solution is to repair the affected table; ie REPAIR TABLE ibf_topics. Before doing repair, may need to backup this table its data first. U never know what will happened after this command and its the data that is considered most important. As for the ######-related postings, I suggest more mods/admins are needed to assist in policing this site. Otherwise ppl may cross over to Arofanatics website if this site is incapable to serve the Singapore marine aquarists needs.

Wah bro ... didnt know an arowana can jump... becoz it seems like a slow and heavy fish. Is mandarinfish part of the dragonet family? I used to have mandarinfish before and dont encountered them jumping. For my 6-line, it was with me for more than 1 week... may be disturbed by clown or the algae blenny... saw them fighting once in a while. When my maid told me she saw the 6-line on the floor, i couldnt believe her at first but then the facts came when I saw the frozen body...sigh

Recently, my 6-line wrasse did a long jump...out from the tank(hoodless) and onto the floor... a distance of 20cm away from the tank. It eventually went to heaven.... Before getting any other fish to accompany my maroon clown, I would like to know what other types of fishes are long jumpers so that I can avoid them. Thx.

Agreed that with an anemone in the tank it will make matters worse... before the maroon was very peaceful till the day i got an anemone for it... Now it becomes even more territorial...trying to guard its home...haha I am trying to add either another maroon clownfish or the Ocellaris Clown. But looks like its kinda difficult having two maroons in a tank.

Agreed that 6-line wrasse may pose a problem... recently added a 6-line into my existing tank with a axil hogfish... but next day i couldnt find hogfish... in the end found that it was wounded by this wrasse that keeps disturbing it... luckily i managed to fish out the hogfish and now its under medication to treat the wounds on its body... *sigh*. Thought the wrasse is a peaceful fish. Any question to ask bro is currently i also got a maroon clownfish which is also very territorial... how can i introduce anothe nemo type of fish? Thx.
