  2. Hi reefers..may I know what is the difference between using normal seasand(white) and those "black and white" sand used by some shops in their display tank?
  3. Bro Chris...may i know what is the description of the sand bed? Purchase from where? You are using some dead rock as well?
  4. Thanks for the advice.. The light is duo LED... Blue and white.. Ok.. Will switch to blue light more often to prevent bleaching. Question: if I change sea water once every 2 weeks.. Do i need to dose calcium and magnesium?

  11. Hi tunicate...alright try to post some photos of the scrubber over the weekend.. Underwater - bro, can I just remove the old piece of cloth and put a new sheet and let the algae grow ?
  12. Hey John.. Thanks .. Anyway I followed ur recommendations of using the scrubber system.. It's working really fine at the moment.. The only troublesome problem is washing the piece of cloth.. My friend help me to stack the landscape.. This guy is good with stacking cos it's his hobby and he charges a resonable prices for other big tank.....my is foc.. Underwater - bro..thanks for the advice..yes..I will monitor it one or two more month to see the effectiveness of the algae scrubber.. But I thought it's quite amazing as every week, the test indicate zero for the nutrients...
  13. Ok..thanks ah siang.. Btw..do u know who is the forum sponsor that supplies bubble mangus protein skimmer? Actually i am in the midst of getting one...thanks
  14. Hey..I am using a sump tank with biohome and coral chip.. I am using the algae scrubber method..no protein skimmer..no chiller.. Only problem is ich occasionally.. Treatment with seachem cupramine.. Amonia, nitrate and nitrite currently zero..my sg is 1.018.. Been testing every week.. But no sure how long it's gonna be maintained like that.. Let wait another 1 month to see if the algae scrubber is it so effective before I want to really give a breakdown of my system...
  15. Hi Reefers...Just like to post some photos of my tank after starting it for 2 months...Generally it's just fishes and dead rock... No corals and livesrock....It's a 3x2.5x1.2ft tank
  16. Hi All, Just want to share my friend's acrylic Tank.. IMG_2013.zip
  17. Yes..it's very irresponsible and so much money wasted...sigh Btw.. For me..I I just got back to set up my fish only with dead rock tank after buying a tank from a fellow reefer from the forum.. Tank been running with 1 month plus.. Will post some photos once the tank is stable... Thanks again..
  18. Hey bros..I m find his theory very ridiculous too but he is very sure of his assumption..that's why I shared on this forum.. Bro lemon..sorry I doesn't have much parameters data for his tank.. But it's a beautiful acrylic 3ftx3ftx2.5ft tank.. Really mouth watering..he paid close to 6k for it.. Before the intro of this two fishes, he had 12 angels in the tank for about 2 weeks.. I tend to agree w u guys that his water is not properly cycled... Nevertheless I think he is just too impatient because he is always very "cheong" in doing things like that. Thanks for the all comments and I hope that no questions posted in this forum are considered stupid question..
  19. Bros..thanks for all the idea.. Here is my friend's verdict...according to him..this angels are captured thru cyanide poisoning.. Thus, when the fishes are not quarantine and introduce immediately.. The two fishes "vomit" out the poison from their bodies and poisoned his whole tank... I am not sure about his analysis.. Thus, I am hesitating to introduce the queen and french into my tank.. Any comments?
  20. Hey friends, recently my friend and I , each purchased one queen and French angel from a LS in a farm( not to mention the name). He added the two immediately to his tank and his whole tank of angels died the following day. For me, I have kept the two fishes in my quarantine. Does anyone have any idea if the two fishes are the cause of my friend's tank fatalities?
