no............ internal box do no help to restart the siphon action! it is the ext box buffering region which restart the siphoning only internal box jus a part where water get in ,blocking fishes with those teeth like thing. amount of siphoning may also depend on the size of internal box not to get the size volume of return too..........!

in this case it will not call an overflow box liao........... anyway overflow works at the way it will stop siphon when return pump off and auto restart siphonning when pump start back

this is call one end threaded union ball valve i actually dunno where can get this exact type of ball valve because is given by my friends and quite sure tat it is not as cheap if u want can go any hardware shop where they got sell pvc fittings and u will able to get it..........

think most ppl using the lst one too........... if u worry ter is not enough thread contact try to use pvc glue to join up ........ it will give a real solid joint....... btw i am using it too for my 10mm glass...... never use pvc glue but use alor of silicon to seal up while screwing up .....!
