are snails

hi all, would like to know if it is necessary to keep snails in a FOWLR tank? think they feed on algae, right? but do they eat coraline algae? because i see my snails on my LR, instead of the tank.

yeah, supposed 2 b... but i c dem more often on my LR den on my glass. btw, can i keep hermit crabs wif dem? cos i hv got so many dif answers.

okay it depends on the species of the hermit, but most do. they do it to get a larger shell.
