SRC Supporter Harlequinmania Posted October 2, 2011 SRC Supporter Share Posted October 2, 2011 When i didnt clean my skimmer over some time, i started to notice that the amount of waste collect fall over time, and i remember read it somewhere that this was due to the reason when the foam rises, it deposit some of the fat and proteins at the side of the riser tube. As time pass, this deposit will make it harder for the foam to reach to the collection cup thus the effective of the skimmer will drop drastically. So ,i try to clean my skimmer cup every week or two .
