Yeah i guess. zeovit also does a good job. What i meant to ask is.... is it possible to maintain such colouration with just good husbandry + stable water parameters + Good lighting? Seems like these more interesting and better coloured corals require more complicated systems, but i hope someone can prove me wrong.

I dont have a complicated system, although complicated piping all over the room...LOL

Bro the key is good husbandry, that's all. No additives at all.

Cheers !

I like to comment something and back up with reasons and rational so as to allow readers to ponder over and make their own decision :)

Perhaps I should clarify my view on the role on additives.

They are meant to assist reefers in restoring their tank to mimic a natural sea water as close as possible. For those who do not wish to perform wc yet are able to export nutrient efficiently, additives such as various trace element products are essential and important so as to restore what is lacking.

There are some who wish to experiment with additives, that's their own call.

There are some who do not wish to fiddle with additives for whatever reason, that's their own call too.

For me, additives comes in only when I need to correct my system back in tune with...the natural parameter as in the mother ocean. For example, restoring back my Mg level using Mg chloride additive powder / solution.

Ok, let's leave this topic alone. Anyone interested with this additive thingy can start a new thread on its own. :)

Thanks alot cedric for the clarification. I agree, the subject on additives is really huge, and can go on for many pages. But key here is I am definitely more confident keeping healthy sps after hearing what you had to say on husbandry. Cheers!

Nice pink encrusting monti! I can't wait to see you back in full force

^_^ Another shot of Rainbow Shortcake ...

This round without adjusting much for white balance, so it looks more blueish :)

Took me a good two months to color this beauty...sweat =='
