My Chiller & Filter in the canister. Still trying to look for a small powerful fan to reduce the internal cabinent temp which hover around 45-50C degree. This causes my chiller to kick-in/out every 5 min of so, increasing my monthly PUB bill by at least S$40. Currently uses a timer for the chiller to reduce the overall operation time from 24 hr to less than 12 hr.

the internal temp of the cabinet doesnt cause the chiller to kick in so often. it matters with the flowrate... im using eheim 1250 with CL-650.. kicks in every 2hrs..

Weekly small pcs of market prawns when I feed my other LPS.

Don't really know if they eat also. Live brine shrimps. But I think

moderate water flow is important too.

I did change from 650l/hr to 2400l/hr rated w/o filter materials.

I think the temp sensor in the small chiller cooling tank and my high

ambient temp is giving more of the problem. The high ambient temp will

cause the temp sensor to sense increase of temp much faster although

my tank temp has not change very much.

Actually I think (did a measurement with a digital food themo) it takes about 2hrs to increase from 26C to 28C.Best I think is to install an external temp controller and place the sensor in the tank itself. This will definately help reducing the kick-in/out of the chiller.

Still looking for one for the CL650. Anyone knows :thanks:
