Small tank, dont tear up your account for those expensive monitors. They are definitely good but just use the usual reliable brand test kits will do. I got a hydrometer by red sea free if u want. Bought the hydrometer but afraid not accurate and gotten the refractometer but in the end, surprisingly same results... Can meet up u guys maybe next week in one of the shops in the east. great to know people here too... btw do make sure to rinse all the ceramic rings regularly as you would know they love to trap deritus... happy reefing! oh yaa saw your mum loves those flower stuff? Can try zoas, golden cloves and mushrooms for a start.

Hey, thanks alot. Will take up the offer for the hydrometer. SURE! will love to meet up with you...if its not too much trouble can come visit our humble house to see the set up? Bought this purple tthing. In the LFS all covered with small flowers. Brought home end up all not open plus edges starting to turn white. NO3 is 40ppm. ph is 7 water temp is 26degree..all others are doing well at least from the looks of it.

Oh, in FW we try not to rinse them....oohh dear, coz its all dumped into the IOS compartment hence very difficult to take out..when you going to the shops? maybe can tag along to learn

I wash the rings in the canister filter for my freshwater shrimp set up though. Really can clog up... sent u pm already...

Last time the cannisters not washed for 1 yr at a go..kekeke the FGT for glass rings also not washed for many many years

found a mini crab inside the tank. i read some crabs not good. cun manage to take a pic coz its always hidding. Its like black looking crab think a little hairy like china king crab. but can see clearly as its always hidden.
