Do you place Biopellets (Large granule) in skimmer body?

As per topic.

I was recommended to put biopellets (large granule) in filter bag and place them in the skimmer body.Seems to be a great idea. High flow and can skim off the bacteria.

But will that affect the formation of the bubble? or decrease the efficiency of the skimmer?

Any one tried before?

I tried before but it seem affected the amount of skimmate.

I guess it will affect the skimmer efficiency because the bio pellet bag will block the neck..

A skimmer is to skim the water, nothing more than that, its wiser to put the bio pellets in a purpose built FR, more gains it this manner

I ran it in the a skimz FR and find that it is not suitable..

So i bought a mini reeftech 50. work so much better
