I need help on my skimmer being set up...

According to the manual I had, its recommended sump water is 6" to 6.5". My sump water level is 11.5" so I had it raised with a bucket to the right height.

But the issue now is that I don't think it is right. The outlet mouth as you can see in picture 2 is only half submerged and is making a lot of splashing noise.

And if you see in the third picture, a lot of micro bubbles are coming out of the outlet.

I tried replacing the green bucket with one of a lower height so that the skimmer sits lower by about 1.5" but it creates another problem. Water just overflows out of the cup.

I wish someone could offer me a solution as to what I have done wrong in this set up...

What is the model of the pump that they provide?

u DIY a pipe for the outlet to dispense water under the water line and also to adjust the water output using the knob to bring the water level down in your skimmer so that it doesnt overflow

If i am not mistaken, this skimmer comes with a DC5500 pump which is also used on DCS250 & 300, this pump is too powerful for the DCS200 small skimmer body. u have to switch to speed 4 or 5 max.
