Turbo snails

Any idea how cm.my turbo snail die for no reason? All livestock doing well but turbo die for no reason. Got 2 casualty so far

Snails are actually quite sensitive to environmental changes. Proper acclimatization will help improve survival.

+1 on acclimation. I normally practice at least 3 hrs of drip acclimatisation for invertebrates.

Are there natural predator like crabs which hunt them down?

do you keep hermit crabs?

they are the culprit. Hermit crab cannot grow their own shell. Hence they will attacked bigger snails to get the shell. I watched myself how it does it. Smaller snails should be okay unless it is starving.

So far i dobt have any hermit crabs. Bit dont think is aclimatisation as they have been ard for months

Same thing happened to me too. Mine I put it to nitrate spike as my small flame back died and I couldn't locate the body.

Acclimation..is important..Another Thing Nitrate Spikes..Any Rock Moved? Cleaning of the DSB? Recently?

Someone told be that turbo snails can chock on some algae. Have no idea if that's true.

i use to have this problem when i first started out this hobby.

it dies every time i do water change. found out it is sensitive to nitrate spikes and have problem acclimatizing
