Hi Reefers,

My flickering Beamswork face another problem of broken switch, cant even press the switch, somehow stuck inside. While looking at opening to see whats wrong with switch and maybe replacing adapter, would like to ask about an EVO LED light set that I saw. It has 3W LEDs compared to my current 1W beamswork. Would this be better for my tank with soft corals (hammers, zoas, GSP) or would it be too bright (bleaching problems etc) ? Also are LEDs changeable ? Was wondering if i can perhaps add more blue instead of the current configuration?

Am working on budget around $150, if there are other recommendations not too far off , feel free to let me know. Thanks !!!!

For evo lightset, you can change the bulbs by prying the existing bulb with a screwdriver. The bulb is glued tight and will require some effort to remove. The bulb will be spoilt after you pry it out. A little soldering is needed to fix the new bulb. Hope it helps.

You can try Aquazonic IP4 Infinity Pleasure LED Lighting Deep Blue. It comes with 2 build in T5. Currently I'm using it. So far so good. I only change the standard aquazonic tube to ATI tube. Hope this helps.

Thanks Bro Trevally and Plankton . Will explore the changing of LEDs. As for the Aquazonic, how much is it and where did you get it from ?

3 w per led is the basic requirement of LED light set especially if you are keeping reef

1 w is not of much use
