Rock for clams

Hi ,

Just like to find out for placing a flat piece of rock for my crocea clam to attach to. Are my choices only limited to using live rock? Can I use some of my spare rocks from my previous freshwater aquascape tank? Sorry for the newbie question.

Yes u can use those granite rocks from freshwater tank as base for clams. I used that previously also cos it's easier to get flat pieces for the clams to sit comfortable on.

Thanks. Yes very difficult to find a small flat stone from a pile of live rocks at lfs .

just fyi this is wat i did for my crocea clam from jalan selaseh. i bought the epoxy putty and create a plate like mould. let it harden under water then place my clam on top of it. looks like a happy clam to me. mine is a golden rim clam....

I Go to The Beach And Get Grey like platinum rocks..realy beautifull..and good for clams/Sand dwelling corals
