  4. Lol, ya, that's the one. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. hs28. a 1/10 chiller from hailea will suffice.
  6. I got mine from Ah Beng. I also got sand star from them. ah beng is in pasir ris farmway 2. entrance has a large arowana figure.
  7. Bro, I migrated from Fw to sw too. Sump is a better route IMHO.
  8. I tried placing at bottom before but I prefer mid level. I always place a clam on a small piece of flat rock for it to stick to. but the fellow will always tumble before attaching itself to that rock
  9. mine small tank 2 ft cube and just a handful of fishes. Once a day as my tank always spike in NO3 and PO4 if feed too much.
  10. I feed seaweed. initially shy and go hiding but a few days later come out and explore and eat happily.
  11. thanks for sharing. nice pics. Its been 10 years or more since I've been to chatuchak. Navigation in the labyrinth is magical. at least to me. I don't recall seeing fishes there a decade ago...... seen pedigree puppies and wild squirrels for sale though...... hehe.
  12. PBT, beautiful creatures.. but I gave up as I guess my tank and skills not good enough to keep them. can only marvel at well kept tanks that has them.
  13. peppermint shrimp is effective. I got one. hardly see it., Shy little fellow but he does his job well. visible apitasia gone.
  14. bro. I suggest invest in RO unit. I top up with a tub of RO water every week. Evaporation is quite a killer
  15. Bro, WC is painful to me. hahaha. When I started, I lugged NSW from iwarna. The spillage of salt water on my car boot made me cringed. tired lah when carrying the packets so I tend to be clumsy. Luckily auntie very nice give me Styrofoam box to minimize damage........ then I progress to RO. lovely! comfort at your own house but must salt mix la. I get hugh tubs to store. get long hoses with pumps to pump out and pump in the water in and out of tank. get taps to control the input and output of water. Of coz there are other excellent ideas out there to "automate" this process but currently, I'm happy with the ease this method has provided me.
  16. I always buy this glue that cost 10 bucks from farms or LFS. Packaging is a white and dark maroon, sorry cant remember the name as used up liao. works like a charm in gluing rocks or corals.
  17. to me, the sump creates annoying noises in 2 areas. The return pump humming and the sound of crashing water from the downpipe from the overflow or whatever you call it. Mine is an amateur simple setup lah so not much equipment to contribute to sound. The return pump makes quite a hum IMHO. Maybe better quality and expensive ones will be more silent? I'm sure there are some in the market. As for the return pipe. Play around with the angle of the pipe entering the water level, the height of the pipe from the water level. You can by PVC pipes from madpetz or for me, I go to the hardware shop in Serangoon north to by pipes of various sizes and play around to find the best remedy to noise pollution.
  18. Bro, I had the same problem. Take some photos or best, if possible, bring the actual stuffs down to MAdpetz. Ken will try his best to find the best adapter for you, I brought some of my tubes and connectors down and he help me solved my problem.
  19. ocean free nano 3 Is how big? I'm using the Jebao wave makers for my 2 feet cube. Programmable controls are a charm.
