Brown jelly diease on torch

Hi all

Is this brown jelly diease on my torch coral? How to cure it or prevent from speading?

Looks like brown jelly. I've not heard of any reliable cure. Frag off the affected and perhaps dip the rest in coral rx

That is a big problem. Its glued to my rockscrape base. Main big piece.... think not able to do anything at the moment.

This brown jelly is very deadly. Lose one torch head one after another. Spread to another torch coral.... took it out finally n smash the affected head with hammer. Put back to tank. Dont know can survive a not. Haiz

I wonder if siphoning helps to remove them? I really don't know and asking to learn ^^

My new torch seems to also have it. 4 heads simply melted away within a week. 2 surviving heads left. Been so busy haven't had time to find a solution.

I took mine out, brushed off the affected part and dip it with coral rx solution. The remaining "heads" still doing very well until today.

From what i checked. The only method seem to be remove infected head . The remaining dip in coral rx. Then put back. Most of the time. Peopke throw away the whole piece to prevent from spreading. I witness it. It spread in a week. From 1 head become 3 head dead. N spread to another torch. I would advise bro who buying coral to check throughly, especially when u lifted up the coral n it retracted. U can see clearly any dying or dead heads.

Happened to me . And the brownish area is freaking smelly .from what I read it's also RTN.

Update . Small torch still hit with brown jelly. Throw whole piece away.....

If u dun want to remove the whole piece, u can siphon provided wm or any circulating pump is switched off...after siphoning best to cut off the dead head
