Regulating the air intake might help. I also just added a BM curve 5 to my 4 feet tank over the weekend. Same issue faced. After adjusting the control valve and water height yield no result, I tried adjusting the air intake and somewhat it seems to do the trick. As mine is a new tank breaking in with livestocks added at the same time, probably further adjustments have to be made along the way.

Wow, I just turned it on again and suddenly it's not overflowing again. It's pulling out pretty light skimmate but I guess that's because there's nothing in the tank. So strange hoe skimmers work, I didn't adjust anything at all

Bro... You can try to clean your skimmer cup and try again. The overflow may come back. The cleanliness of the surface of the cup also plays an important role. Normally a clean cup will produce more skimmate.

Hi guys, so my skimmer had veen doing great for a few days and it skimmed a lot. However, I turned it off 2 days ago and now when I just turned it back on the micro bubbles that were supposed to be produced by the skimmer disappeared and only a couple of large bubbles were formed. I took apart the whole thing and it was working just fine when I placed it into a new batch of salt water I mixed. The only thing I did during the few days was top the tank off with ro di water and that's it.
