Will get some sea hares and urchin to clean it before I put in my DT ! But won't the rock be infested with algae and will spread to the tank in future ? Admiraltian
U need to control ur phosphates levels in ur dt and algae growth will be limited. CookieCrunch
U need to control ur phosphates levels in ur dt and algae growth will be limited. Yes bro my DT currently has no algae issues, I got this mushroom coral from a nice reefer . So even if this rock has algae, my water will prevent the algae from spreading and die off ? CookieCrunch
Brush them off?? I read up online even if brushing won't remove it totally, like in future it will still come back due to the rock stored high phosphate . Just worried and cautious . Haha . Beginner reefer sometimes a bit kiasu to prevent failure . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk If u running fr with phosphate removal media(GFO), u will be able to keep ur tank at low p04 levels thus limiting food source to the nuisance algae to prevent them to grow in ur dt. Else u need to hv some cuc to feed on them to prevent algae from overrunning ur tank.
