SRC Member asg Posted April 16, 2015 SRC Member Share Posted April 16, 2015 bro, the reading can be zero, but that does not mean your bio filter is ready ah. just wait for a few more weeks before adding any LS. Planted
I use a small wavemaker to stir up waste and let filter do its job. I will on for a few mins each day/alternate day. Reason being in small tank, more current = higher temp. Just sharing my experience from low maintenance keeping. ^^

Will get a fan next time before finish cycling the tank. I see some white Crystal on rock

orsony
Bro, 2 clowns died don't mean tank crashed. If your intention are only 2 clowns, I won't even do recycling as long as the clown is healthy. Fyi, a QT tank doesn't need to go thru the process of recycling and it called a QT tank. Yet the fish still survive in it. There are many reasons for your clown fish death and best to read and ask around. How to introduce LS is very important too.
kamsau1
Thanks for the tips. Introduction ls to fish, did the few hours + water cup by cup. Fish look fine for 3 week. Sudden deadth. Suspect temperature to high at 32. Tanks can't sustain 02 hence fish die. Will try to cool down tank using a diy fan. Post a picture later. At the moment no fish till everything look fine first.
