Hi bro,

It's my refugium of chaeto/pods using air pump to push the water flow in & out. Chaeto are multiplying so far..

bro, how much u dose a day on those colour elements? 5 drops a day?

Hi bro,

Erm.. not sure 5 drops r how many ml? For mine case, I juz dose 1 ml/day. No doubt, it's consider overdose for my nano but my BM dosing can only dose min of 1 ml. Fortunately, have been about 2 mths & so far so good.

Hi Reefers, had been awhile since last updates..

Re-scape done over the weekend, shift some LPS to sides & trying out SPS in the center-top. Not really good in SPS, as not much experience. Wana try this time, getting ready to hit onto the wall..

Maybe acclimatizing to your tank para & lighting? I had a green stag which turned brown overnight lol, thought it was a goner... But after shifting it to better lighted position, it started to green up nicely again.. Took almost 3wks though

Beautiful tank. My tank is the size of your sump lol.

How often do you do wc? I understand you have more than twice the water volume, but you have a fair bit of ls too

Thanks mate.. Oh so urs a pico tank,, I trying my best to perform weekly WC & due to quite heavy stock so I hook up dosing pump as well. Hope I'm on the right track, so far so good other than nitrate problem..

Thx for sharing, my Ca, KH, Mg, salinity & temp are fine. Except for NO3 is hi, fortunately PO4 is manageable. I believe my LED are fine, as other LPS & softies doing good. I should stop loading SPS I think, sian.. So far only can keep sunset, lokani & setosa..

Mine r worst bro.. tat shd b the reason my tank dun welcome sps. Growing cheato, runnin pellets & wkly 10% WC can never bring NO3 further down.

OK my nitrates are coming down and here's what I did.

I tackled the source as well as did larger wc.

Make sure you change out your filter wool, rinse your bio media if it's been sitting there for awhile (lightly rinse with Di water to just flush the detritus), and also try target feeding your fishes and corals with the pumps off.

With wc, lightly stir up and vac the very top layer of your sand bed, and do 20-25%.

Quite likely, with your bioload, your water change only removes the same amount of trates being introduced. So introduce less, take out more. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the advise,, Yup, filter wool is a definite to replace every WC for my style. Media were rinse as well, but with existing tank water instead WC.Unfortunately I dun have the luxury time to target feed corals, but auto feeder for fishes instead. Will only target feed corals really once awhile.. For feeding while pumps off can be done using controller, which I have yet to hook up. As to suck out top layer debrius on sandbed is also not possible, due to over crowded corals in my small tank. Which will ended up topple off most corals, so WC was done from sump.

Guess I will try to perform multiple >10% WC within a week when im takin long leaves hopefully in CNY. :-)
